We are currently recruiting for a Programmer Analyst I to work with Enterprise Business Applications, in the Department of University Information Technology for this exciting opportunity. Are you a Technical professional with1-2 years' of experience working with Information systems Technology? Do you possess experience utilizing reporting tools? Do you possess experience writing and executing SQL statements? Do you have knowledge of Oracle database environments? If so, keep reading!
In this role, you will provide the first line of technical support for one of York's enterprise application systems which support the administrative units such as PeopleSoft HCM and Financials, IBM Maximo and/or the Alumni/Fundraising System under the guidance of senior technical staff. This includes translating the requirements into technical specifications, participating in the development, design, and modification and maintenance of application software; ensuring that the systems are available and functioning efficiently; troubleshooting production problems; providing technical support to users.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will possess:
A University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline OR a related Community College Diploma and 2 year's of related experience in addition to the minimum years required. The successful incumbent will have 1-2 years of experience in information systems technology as well as experience working with reporting tools. We are seeking candidates who possess knowledge of programming languages, relational databases and software development life cycle's.
