Worked from the ground-up to formulate and implement various business processes. Created the network infrastructure in New Jersey as well as in New Delhi. Set up DSL webcam connectivity and enabled secure file transferring capability between Delhi and US offices. Created www.globalrising.com using Macromedia Dreamweaver and raw HTML.
May’01 – Sep’01: Member CMGroup, JPMorgan Chase, NYC.
Member of the Configuration Management Group. Built Cisco 3640 routers with firewall IOS and configuration for point-to-point access to permit clients into the Corporate Chase network. Implemented AAA using Tacacs, IPSEC, Network Address Translation (NAT), extended IP access control lists (ACLs) and debugging of packets to isolate various Layer 2-3-4 issues. Implemented IPSEC in various Cisco routers (7500s, 7200s, 3640s etc) and switches (Catalyst 6509, 5509, 5000 etc), spread across six cities. Defined IPSEC rules across VLANs, configured CET with extended ACLs to create secure tunnels across the MAN networks as well as across the WANs. Migrated Novell/IPX users from Heritage JPMorgan to Heritage Chase networks.

Involved with the PathStar Core Integration Team. Responsible for integrating a carrier-grade converged networking switch at customer collocations. This involved gathering the CLEC’s requirements and data, building network design, generating configurations, certifying Facility Readiness, turning up the PathStar switch, conducting Test, Turnup and CallThrough testing at customer’s collocation, disaster recovery and finally, Acceptance Testing with the customer. Project managed a team of 14 personnel for seven months.
Aug ’96 – Jul’ 98: Merrill Lynch, NYC
Extensive and thorough experience in troubleshooting and maintaining a very large worldwide network/intranet comprising of over 500 Cisco routers and various networked devices. Worked at Network Headquarters to troubleshoot and operate the company’s global network/intranet. Used Spectrum - a network management tool, to monitor and troubleshoot the network including WAN/LAN links. Setup this tool on Sun SPARC20 machines running Solaris 5.1.1. Worked with the Router Engineering Team to perform troubleshooting tasks. This included configuring TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, Banyan Vines, T1/T3 and HSSI lines, Frame Relay circuits, Ethernet, FDDI, Token Rings etc. Dealt with router configuration issues to provide redundancy and alternate routing, isolate system errors and troubleshoot network problems.
