Examples of work efforts:
1. Designed and coded custom batch ABAP program to process dynamically updates needed for open enrollment benefit plan changes for 250,000 employees.
2. Designed and coded batch ABAP program to evaluate outbound extract files for edits defined in custom SAP tables.
3. Modified SAP infotypes to add additional fields to capture specific custom data needed by the application.
4. Modified custom BADIs to update or create infotype records after benefits enrollment process completed, or different actions were performed.
5. Designed and coded using SMARTFORMS letters, full benefit statements and confirmation of benefits statements which were then printed and mailed to all employees.
6. Extensive coding for Benefits system for updates/enhancements using SAP BSP application. (re-write of HAHT system to SAP BSP apps)
7. Activate and code User Exit logic for benefit eligibility, cost, coverage, validation for updates.
8. Designed and code inbound interface file processing to update employees information using Call Transaction processing.
9. Use of SAP debugger in analysis process to determine cause of issues/defects.
Additional responsibilities
1. Technical lead for past 4 benefits open enrollments - this included interfacing with Functional Analyst (configuration group), Quality Assurance group, internal and external clients. Responsible for determining development and design of changes needed, distribution and monitoring of development time lines.

Developer and Analyst, responsible for supporting the conversion of a COBOL IMS system to a new OS/390 operating system. Other tasks associated with this assignment were conversion of COBOL code to COBOL II and unit testing.
Technical Consultant â?“ Assigned to AT&T Solutions Customer Care (01/96 â?“ 07/99)
1.Developer responsible for design and implementation of mainframe direct marketing distribution reporting system.
2.Technical Project Lead responsible for development of project plans and implementations of newly developed features.
3.Technical Project Lead in the effort to Y2K certify a large direct marketing system. This effort included 3 million lines of code and co-ordination of the main product platform and the 23 projects that use the platform. Along with making all code compliant a transition from COBOL to COBOL II was done for all modules.
4.Technical Project Lead for a major mainframe telemarketing project. Managing a technical staff comprised of 5 programmers, 3 script writers and 4 quality assurance testers. Responsibilities included interfacing with clients, gathering requirements, creating time and cost estimates for maintenance as well as new development work requests.
