· Developed an interface that captured spool output, stripped out the formatting codes and saved the data to custom tables for reading by the Crystal Reports System.

· Responsible for many enhancements in the areas of SD and MM including: Sales Order user exits to check valid Ship-to partners; an exit to populate PO item #; an exit to move freight conditions into an idoc transportable field; an inbound Delivery idoc user exit that updated a custom table with employee phone S/N’s; and an outbound idoc user exit that added an idoc segment with pricing info and Order Entry date. Also developed were many interactive ALV Grid Reports including various sales orders, reconciliation, and material stock reports. Involved in upgrade and conversions from SAP 4.6c to 4.7 with integration testing and also in developing CATT scripts. Created functions that connected directly with a foreign Warehouse Management Systems(PKMS –Manhattan Assoc.) database(Oracle) tables via Native SQL calls in ABAP. Developed an interface to load SKU and UoM data into the Material Master, and an interface that changes Sales Order statuses from spreadsheet data.

· Responsible for shop floor to MM/PP/PI data collection interfaces: these interfaces automatically create Batches, Process Orders, Confirmations, and do a Goods Issue against Reservations. Developed an interface for the daily load of commodity market prices, and an interface to load a custom set of Product Groups from SAP's Classification System. Also developed were many interactive and ALV reports including: Market vs. Buyer Analysis, Vendor Shipments by Lot, PO and Requisition Text Reports, On-Time Delivery Analysis, Contract Pricing, and Invoice Days Due/Blocked Statistics. Created user exits in Sales Order creation to handle custom Handling Units. Developed a BDC to automatically update weekending dates in the characteristics of orders, and a BDC program to automatically transfer all inventories from all plants to new material numbers. Completed an interface and report that will reconcile purchases and goods movements between SAP(4.6b) and legacy systems.

· Responsible for a set of interactive statistical reports: analyzing invoice reversals, documents scanned and processed, etc. The reports also connected to HR Payroll infosets and extracted hours worked for user productivity metrics. Another report developed analyzed cheques cut by division, stop payments, and voids; all reports featured drilldowns for record details. Added ALV functionality to existing reports for further flexibility.

· Taught a 1-week class (10 students) ABAP Workbench, SAP Programming Concepts, ABAP Dictionary, ABAP Query, SAPscript, etc.

· Bombardier is a SAP IS-Aerospace 4.6c client utilizing customized ASAP methodology. During the Global Blue Printing phase, I was given the responsibility of the identification and design of all interfaces and conversions in the areas of PS, PP, and MM (except for Production Execution, and Procurement). Responsible for Functional Specifications for Interfaces, Conversions (including Data Mapping to/from legacy), Conceptual Data Models, SAP Relational Data Models, development of data standards, and mechanisms for data cleansing and normalization.

· Assisted team in blueprinting POS requirements and design of future POS architecture. Investigated SAP's Retail Store product. Estimated effort required to configure and develop the POS inbound and outbound IDOC interface.

· Part of a team responsible for the EDI configuration of inbound and outbound invoice, delivery, shipment, and sales order transactions. Trained NEC staff on SAP EDI configuration and IDOC and mechanics. Created a function module to process delivery IDOC data into sales order documents and remove the billing blocks (or reject individual order items). Developed a user exit to preprocess invoice IDOCS in order to ‘rollup’ similar segments. Developed interactive reports and BDC’s for master data maintenance. We used GE’s Application Integrator as our translator in a UNIX environment.

· Part of a SAP-Retail 4.6b team responsible for implementing store replenishment. Initially accountable for the RIS requirements of the project, but evolved into a series of interactive reports and tools to assist in the analysis and confirmation of SAP Retail's Forecasting and Replenishment system: Stock Exceptions, and Lead-Time Analysis, etc.

· Part of a SAP-Retail 4.6b team responsible for configuring/implementing POS Inbound. Accountable for the Sales Audit requirements of the project, including a series of interactive reports and tools for POS Exception, Gap Analysis, POS Sales Tax Interface, Cash Receipts, Store Security, and Loss Prevention. I developed user-exits that pre-processed POS IDOCs adding the functionality of flagging out-of -balance transactions as errors and diverting voided transactions to custom tables. I was also challenged in working in the HR module for a short time debugging program problems.

· Part of a technical team that supported worldwide SAP problems and enhancements. Developed a user-exit for PA derivation. Supported several SAPscript forms. Developed an interface to the pallet labeling system and a series of security reports that illustrated authorization conflicts and transaction codes allowed by user, group or profile.

· Waccamaw is a SAP Retail client using R/3 4.5b. I developed an interface to/from Stirling Douglas (an Oracle based Demand Chain Management Application). I used Oracle PL SQL to load and manipulate the data. The outbound interface loaded initial SAP Master data, inventory, and sales data etc. and automatically updates this data daily based on change documents in SAP. The inbound interface created purchase orders via IDOC’s.

· Enhanced MM module functionality by developing the "PO Push" program, this program automatically moved delivery dates backward so that material would not be flagged as available before it was received.

· Technical team lead responsible for the Physical Inventory Project, bringing the project to a successful 40 store inventory in February. The Physical Inventory interface converted third-party collection data into IDOC format, and featured a SAP ‘dialog based’ data browser/editor, automatic UPC lookup and automatic material listing.

Responsible for developing various interfaces for data migration including an optimized BDC interface for on-hand inventory. Because of the many performance issues that arose from a large material list, I worked closely with developers in Germany to enhance the speed in many areas of SAP-Retail. Also developed was an application to compare information structures across systems using RFC’s, and a POS outbound IDOC enhancement for refreshing store listings.

· Peoples Jewelers Corp.

Responsible for the development of the POS IDOC interfaces in ABAP/4. As centerpiece of the software development effort and the heart of IS-Retail, the POS interface required an understanding of IDOCS, EDI, ALE, Workflow basics, and the RIS system. I was given the opportunity to enhance my knowledge in many areas including FI, MM, and SD. As the project progressed and our team grew, I took on the role of team lead for POS development and delivered a working prototype. Investigated various converter products for POS. During the project, we evolved through versions 3.0f, 4.0a and 4.0b of SAP R/3.

· Royal LePage Corp.

Member of a team of consultants responsible for the maintenance and customization of an enhanced FI and SD system using SAP R/3. Responsible for analysis, design, development, and testing of many structured software applications using ABAP/4.

· Responsible for the consolidation and maintenance of the head office LAN systems.

· Coordinated workstation connectivity to RISC 6000, AS/400 and 3270.

· Part of an eight person network support team for the Rogers-Cantel network working primarily at their main site. This function required a broad array of skills, but typically involved trouble-shooting and correcting problems across a multi-protocol network.

· Maintained and updated a large Clipper 5.01 application called SEMS (Store

Equipment Maintenance System), this was a centralized purchasing application that featured LAN faxing and auto-dial capabilities.

· Project manager for a touch-screen data-acquisition and operator interface package, "FactoryData" was written in Microsoft Basic, it incorporated bar-code reading technology and was capable of monitoring 8 analog and 100 digital signals.

· Project manager for an industrial data-acquisition application (C++). This package provided an interface and data collection capabilities with an Allen Bradley PLC.

· Designed and installed complete Netware 3.1 networks.

· Trained clients on a course titled "Networking and Communications"

· Received CNE (Certified Netware Engineer) Designation (Updated Aug. 96).

· Developed a completely integrated communication system in Clipper 5.01. The "Building Services" program automatically calls, pages (and sends text messages), faxes, or E-mails service requests to various departments and personnel within Hydro.
