SAP travel management with policies configured to support government travel
through the ECC 6.0 portal. Established HR policies and
infotypes to support users of the system. Developed
workflows to ensure rapid approval and payment of travelers. Recommended
HR configuration changes required to support the new system. Developed

IMG

Senior
SAP Consultant Feb/06 –
April/06
Configured the SAP Travel & Expense
Management module for this multi-national company. This included
developing a blueprint for implementing T&E in twenty-seven countries. Also
included was the redesign of key features of the HR module to support T&E,
and developing workflows to expedite document processing. The travel system
used optical archiving, automated credit card transaction processing, and
world-wide per diems.
Boeing
Services Corp.
Senior
SAP Consultant June/05–
Feb/06
Developed a plan for revising the HR
organizational structure in a way that will support workflow. The original
implementation did not provide that capability. Designed workflow processes to
support trip requests and expense report approvals and notifications.
Prepared Boeing’s public service client
for the replacement of its travel management system with SAP travel management. This involved
configuring SAP to enforce US government travel policies in SAP 4.7 and mySAP ERP 2005 environments.
Used the case management functionality of SAP
CRM to design a replacement for an in-house developed employee assistance
program (EAP) system. The new system will track contacts, events, schedules,
referrals, and documents related to cases.
Coded
ABAP programs to support the tracking of shipping expenses.

Senior
SAP Consultant March/05–

Performed blueprinting and configuration of the
SAP Travel Management module. This involved designing the interface between
SAP Financials and SAP HR on different platforms and at different release
levels. Trained client personnel to configure and implement the module.
Siemens
Business Systems
Senior
SAP Consultant Feb/05– March/05
Performed blueprinting and configuration of HR
organizational management and performance appraisals using mySAP
ERP 2004 in a public sector implementation. Developed
a project plan for ESS/MSS in the enterprise portal (rel. 6.40).
Performance appraisals were done with the new management by objective (MBO)
module. Loaded organizational data from the legacy HR system
using the new best-practices migration toolset.
Senior
SAP Consultant July/02– Feb/05
Implemented a highly customized version of the
SAP Travel Management system for the MIT using release 4.6C. They had an old
web-based travel system that could not communicate with SAP. I was able to keep
much of their web interface while running true SAP travel management in the
background. This reduced user training and implementation costs. MIT has a
complex set of public sector travel regulations mandated by the government. It
also has unique requirements for tracking commitments and burden for government
funded projects. Supported HR by designing interfaces,
infotype exits, authorization profiles, and non-employee data for consultants
working for the lab. Developed HR planning and reporting modules to track
employee activities and monitor assigned equipment.
COMPUSA
Senior
SAP Consultant April/02–
June/02
Implemented
complex workflow processes based on the HR org. structure at COMPUSA. COMPUSA
had a requirement to automate the purchasing approval process and SAP workflow
was the ideal solution. Since workflow is totally dependent on the HR org.
structure, I had to evaluate that structure and recommend enhancements. Duties
included workflow design, configuration, testing, and user training.
Sacramento
Municipal Utility District
Senior
SAP Consultant Mar/02– Mar/02
Evaluated and
redesigned workflow processes at this electric utility. Made
recommendations regarding business process changes, workflow approvals, org.
management, security, and ESS. They were having a number of problems
with the way workflow had been implemented and wanted an outside expert. For
instance, intended approvers were not always receiving workflow tasks. Their
security scheme did not always allow intended agents to do their work. I
developed a new workflow process that would detect problems (such as no
authorized agent available) in the first step and notify the department
responsible for fixing the problem. In many cases their HR org. management structures
did not support their workflow requirements. I also showed them how they could
revise and simplify their security roles.
Hughes
Network Systems
Senior
SAP Consultant Oct/01– Mar/02
Configured,
tested, and modified the CATS (Cross-Application Time Sheet) module and ESS for
this satellite communications company. CATS will allow all employees to enter
their weekly time sheets through the internet. They were on release 4.6C of
R/3, release 4.6D of ITS, and release 2.11 of the Workplace
Portal. Work included IMG configuration, HTML and JavaScript modifications,
custom programs, and user exits. I set up structural authorizations based on
their HR PD org. structures. I also implemented role-based security.
Bank
One
Senior
SAP Consultant Feb/01– Oct/01
Developed enhancements to Bank One’s
Employee Self Service (ESS) processes using WebStudio,
HLML Business, JavaScript, and ABAP. The bank had requirements that SAP’s travel module could not fully satisfy, so we
developed a customized system using as many of the SAP provided components (BAPIs, tables, etc.) as possible. We paid ten million
dollars per month in travel expenses through this release 4.6B system.
StorageTek Corp.
Senior
SAP Consultant Jan/01– Jan/01

workflow tasks to support the approval process.
Autodesk,

Senior
SAP Consultant Jan/00 –

Developed internet application components and
the supporting workflow processes for a software company on release 4.5B. This includes modifying
and extending the Employee Self-Service (ESS) transactions delivered by SAP.
This company had SAP in production for a couple of years but had not fully
utilized its capabilities. Top management wanted everything web-enabled with
approval processes in workflow. I also setup the authorization profiles using
the profile generator. It was a global implementation.
