Designed and developed modules for Docura, a web-based digital records solution for healthcare organizations. Enhanced application for scanning medical documents into the digital records system, developed portions of the website for categorizing and retrieving digitized documents, and architected table and data schemas. Coded a Deficiency System add-on to the site which facilitates the identification and correction of deficiencies in medical records. Designed and developed the Cobius Scanning Solution, used by hospitals to scan in and edit their medical records and transmit them to Cobius’s central servers for processing and storage. Technologies/languages utilized: VB 6, ASP/VBScript, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server 2000, XML, HTML/JavaScript.

Managed a group of nine programmers, developing project plans, coordinating allocations, developing processes and standards, and guiding technology adoption. Designed and developed CADE Media, a web-based presentation application allowing presentations to be broadcast live over the web with RealMedia, slides, interactive polls, and real-time chat. The staff interface was developed as an ActiveX control using Visual Basic 6.0, the server component was developed as a Windows NT service using Visual Basic .NET, and the client messaging and control applet was developed in Java. Also created admin ASP and ASP.NET pages and related database tables in SQL Server to manage client and webcast information.

Performed a full design cycle using Rational Rose and UML for a VB, COM-based, three-tiered system, culminating in a formal design document including object models, use cases, and sequence diagrams. Designed and developed a stateless session EJB and various servlets in Java for a Unix-based financial services portal, interfacing with a Sybase database through entity beans. Coded the consumer rewards program portion of a site using HTML and Vignette Tcl/Tk for an Internet startup. Developed a series of ASP pages using VBScript, HTML, and Javascript for a financial services company intranet.

Product manager for ARI's web-based buying guide, the Active Buyer's Guide (www.activebuyersguide.com). Coordinated the different aspects of the product, from engineering and UI design to partner relations. Acted as liaison between the company and the web development firm, ensuring that the vision and feedback were implemented by the web developer. coded part of the HTML, Cold Fusion code, and Javascript for the site, wrote text for the guide, collected product data, and performed/coordinated product testing.

Part of a twenty-member team developing a web-based costing system for AT&T using ASP and a COM-based, three-tiered architecture. Designed and led development of the billing module, writing the pages in HTML / VBScript and the code in C++. Developed a Windows NT Activity-Based Management (ABM) system as part of a five-person team. Designed and coded part of the underlying engine subsystem in C++ and worked on various aspects of the ABM project, including programming automated QA scripts, developing the user interface, and working on the report subsystem.

Project lead of WaveEdit/DR4d, a software front end to AKAIÕs DR4d hard disk audio recorder. Responsible for all aspects of the project: designed features and interface, implemented SCSI communication with the AKAI DR4d, acted as liaison to the beta testers, and architected the fundamental structure of the program. Programmed primarily in C++ using Symantec C++ and the Think Class Library on the MacOS.

Devised and implemented a project designed to highlight the features of Apple's new graphics system, Quickdraw GX, in an entertaining fashion. Created graphics and composed original music for the project in addition to programming the code in C.
