edihive is the Technology platform driving the Realmatters group of companies – Solidifi Property Appraisal Management (Both US and Canada), IV3CUS Insurance Inspection Services, and later acquisitions. With over 2000 completed transactions per day in Canada and USA, the Redihive cloud-based network platform using Linux, Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, EJB, and related ecosystem, serves over 50,000 users worldwide, supporting annual revenue of over $170 million dollars (growing annually by 40-50%). The platform has been operational since 2004.

Vice President, Data & Technology – Markham, ON, Canada (February 2010-March 2014)
The Markham location is the hub of all technology operations, a team over over 35 professionals of business analysts, architects, software developers, QA, system administrators and project management powers the technology platform with an Agile Kanban-style development cycle.

Consultant, Data Extraction & Cleanup– Toronto, ON (June 2008-January 2010)
Worked closely with startup team of around 10-12 technology professionals, with company revenue in the range of $5 million. In-house efforts for data extraction had proven to be unviable, whereas this was critical for ongoing business success.

Business Renaissance Group Inc. (June 2006 – June 2009)
BRG focused on large-scale manufacturing companies, providing a fruits-to-the-root view of their products, allowing various operations and reports, allowing them to control various aspects of the manufacturing process, such as volumes, packaging, margins, etc. This replaced the traditional spreadsheet-based approach to operations analysis.

Chief Technology Officer – Toronto, ON (June 2006 – June 2009)
Reporting to the CEO, led the development of the Business Intelligence Platform, BRG Analyzer. Led a distributed development team using Agile development methodology in USA, Canada, and India, from prototype to production-capable version, working closely with product team and the lead architect, using Microsoft .Net technologies to create a Business Intelligence suite of tools that cut the analysis time by 50%.


IDEA TECHNOSOFT INC. www.ideatechnosoft.com (September 2003 – Present)
IDEA TECHNOSOFT INC. is a data extraction ixtract® platform company, with over 200 installations worldwide, for converting unstructured information to structured data. The technology platform deals with the extraction of data from paper sources (OCR, ICR, OMR, Barcode, etc.), and extraction of structured data from PDF documents, Excel spreadsheets, and other electronic data formats, built on proprietary C/C++ code for Windows and Linux platforms.

President & CTO – Toronto, ON (September 2003 – Present)
Technology and Corporate office in Toronto, Canada, with offshore presence in India and partnerships in Europe and USA. Company founder and key promoter, technology leadership and management. As a new immigrant to Canada, created technology startup, drove consulting revenue and applied R&D to create technology platform. Led the marketing, sales, and implementation for key customer accounts. Translated several research papers in Machine Learning and Computational Linguistics domain into proprietary algorithms included in IDEA's
ixtract® platform.


RelSoft (India) Pvt. Ltd. (September 2000 – September 2003)
RelSoft was an offshore software development company serving banks and financial institutions in Western Europe. Specializing in Check Image Capture, High Speed Document Scanning, Enterprise Document Management Systems, Workflow, Content Management.

CEO – Pune, India & Toronto, Canada (August 2000 – September 2008)
Created company, acquired initial clients, built offshore software development team, complied with complex Indian regulations around export, software development, etc., and built a profitable offshore software development company. Pioneered the use of software for OCR/ICR and replaced hardware-based custom-built OCR/ICR boards, reducing project costs by a factor of 10. Installations included check-processing for over 30 million cheques per month.


Mastek Ltd. www.mastek.com (February 1999 – August 2000)
Mastek is a large Indian outsourcer with clients around the globe. I was hired as a Software Developer to lead applied research in the OCR/ICR area for a German client.

Software Engineer & Programmer Analyst – Pune, India (August 2000 – September 2008)
Joining Mastek's flagship account in Germany, helped consolidate and stabilize a rocky client relationship, helped increase account revenue by 100% by increasing the number of projects that were outsourced to Mastek. Honored with the Chairman & Managing Directors High Flyer award.


Datamatics Technologies www.datamatics.com (December 1997 – February 1999)

Datamatics is a large Indian outsourcer with clients around the globe. I was hired to join a team of software developers for their Lexis-Nexis account. I created programs to allow the import of various data sources, such as magazines, newspapers, journals, etc., into pre-researched databases. Even though I was hired as a trainee, I was able to contribute without need for any specialized training or ramp-up time. I also managed the shared development and deployment environment for the team as systems administrator.
