Ganith Technologies, Inc. – Principal Consultant                              (Aug, 2000 – Till date)      

 

Client: Sumitomo Corporation, NY (Sep 05 – April 06)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/CO/CFM

 

This project includes upgrading treasury module functionality to Enterprise version with extension set 2.00 along with a global template and in-house banking for centralized treasury. Modules covered here include, transaction manager (MM, FE, DE, SE), Market risk analyzer, loans management and in-house cash

 

Client: Dominion Resources, VA (May 04- Aug 04)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/CO/CFM

This project includes upgrading from 4.6b to 4.7 Enterprise with CFM extension set 2.00, converting business partners, transactions and reconfiguring 4.7/CFM 2.00 module to suit clients’ requirements with respect to transaction manager, electronic bank statements, current day statement, cash position, liquidity forecasting and foreign currency valuations. As part of this assignment I also introduced In-house cash component to the users. 

 

Client: Summit County, CO (Mar 04- May 04)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/CO/FM-PS/IS

This project includes upgrading Fi/CO/FM 4.5B version to Enterprise (PS-IS ext 2.00). My role includes activating PS-IS extension, reconfiguring funds management to accommodate new PS-IS functionality. Upgrading existing functionality of fund accounting (GASB34 reports), CO planning, WBS elements, split processor, special purpose ledger and fixed assets. Also involved in user authorizations based on functional roles.

 

Client: Deloitte Consulting - Sumitomo Corporation, NY (Sep 03- Feb 04)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/TR-CFM

This phase includes implementation of commodity futures for Sumitomo’s agriculture department. In addition to requirements gathering, mapping, implementation this phase also includes custom development for margin money calculations. After completing futures project, worked on in-house cash implementation.

 

Client: Deloitte Consulting - Sumitomo Corporation, NY (Jan 03- Sept 03)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/TR-CFM

Implementation of SAP TR-Cash position, Liquidity-forecasting, Securities, Derivatives and market risk analyzer modules. This project also involved redesign of existing accounting processes for derivatives and securities modules, fulfilling FAS 133 requirements (Mark-to-market and hedge effectiveness), redesign of risk management processes (Value at risk, exposure and sensitivities) in addition to configuring and implementing them. My role also includes taking the responsibility for time lines, deliverables, over seeing the work of other team members and managing user expectations. 

 

Client: Deloitte Consulting - Sumitomo Canada Limited, NY (Nov. 02- Dec. 02)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/TR-CFM

Implemented Cash position, Loans and Transaction manager functionality including money markets, foreign exchange modules. Salient points of this project include mapping of foreign currency loan requirements, dealing slip functionality and accounting for foreign exchange deals.

 

Client: Deloitte Consulting - Sumitomo Corporation, NY (April 02- Oct. 02)

 

Role: Principal Consultant – FI/TR-CFM/CML

Implemented SAP TM-Money markets, TM-Foreign exchange, CML-Loans management, position management for FX positions. Salient points of this project include accommodating internal and external FX transactions, limit management (Credit analyzer) configuring loans module to cater to various loan structures like installment loans, annuity loans, discount based loans, rollovers, grouping of loans, splitting of loans, implementation of netting and payment request functionality. This phase also includes converting investment assets from Fixed asset module to treasury module.

Role: Team lead and Sr. Consultant – FI/TR

Implemented SAP Fi-ARAP and Cash management functionality including electronic bank statements and liquidity forecasting. Configured SD pricing functionality and variant configuration to facilitate future phases. Upgraded existing general ledger functionality, Profit center and profitability analysis module from version 4.0B to 4.6C. Configured treasury management functionality.

Client: Department of Revenue, NJ ( Jan. 00 –  Aug. 00)

Role: Project Lead

As a Project Leader and Fi/Co module Lead, I was involved in managing a team of six consultants and the configuration of Fi module including funds management. Financial Accounting configuration included Creation of Enterprise Structure, Configuration of global settings; G/L, A/R and A/P master data and business transactions.

 

Funds Management configuration included Creation of master data like Commitment items, hierarchies, fund and funds centers. In budgeting configuration of budget profiles, versions and number ranges line items and CO items. In availability control definition of tolerances and year dependent parameters for budgeting.

Role: Production Support

Did period end closing for Muller Martini which included, period closing for CCA, PC, GL, AP and AR and stabilization of the system.

The scope of work included AS-IS study, TO-BE analysis, gap analysis, business process re-engineering, configuration, and modifications to suit the client's requirements, user documentation, and user training.

Acuity Strategic Ventures Ltd. – Manager – Corporate Finance           (Mar 1994 – Aug 1996)     

 

Advised companies on corporate restructuring in specific reference to cost cutting, cost optimization strategies and make or buy decisions.  Consulted on corporate fund raising with respect to GDRs/ Euro-convertibles. This also involved conducting road shows for a software company at various Investor locations like London, Hong Kong and Bahrain.  

Advised Oppenheimer International, London and Bankers Trust Asia, Hong Kong on their entry strategies with respect to sourcing of GDR/ Euro convertible mandates and structuring of fund raising instruments.
