 SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 3.0 implementation..

                Role Description – (SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional Functional/Technical Consultant):

·         When I joined the project they were two weeks from go-live.  I came in to assist with resolving configuration problems in order to allow them to stay on schedule.  I successfully worked through their issues, most of which were configuration related.

 

 

08/01 – 12/01:     Mercedes-Benz Engagement:

The deliverables for this project was to design and configure a business-to-business web solution for a Mercedes-Benz plant using SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 3.0 as well as the Requisite Bugseye catalog.

                Role Description – (SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional Functional/Technical Consultant):

·         Configuration of Enterprise Buyer 3.0 standard functionality for coupled integration with an R/3 backend system.  Researched and debugged problems with Enterprise Buyer.  Applied OSS Notes when needed.

·         Assisted in the design of “future state” diagrams for the Mercedes-Benz purchasing business processes.

·         Installed and configured the Requisite Bugseye catalog software on an NT platform in order to demo the integration between Enterprise Buyer and the catalog.

·         Installed and supported several “virtual instances” of ITS for Enterprise Buyer.  Researched problems with the ITS server and applied OSS notes when needed.

·         Installed IACOR middleware software in order to publish service, template and mime files from the R/3 Enterprise Buyer client.

07/01 – 08/01:     Petrobras Engagement (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil):

The deliverables for this project was to develop an SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 2.0 pilot solution that included Petrobras functional requirements.

                Role Description – (SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional Functional/Technical Consultant):

·         Configuration of Enterprise Buyer for coupled integration with an R/3 backend system.  Researched and debugged problems with Enterprise Buyer.  Applied OSS Notes when needed.

·         Technical lead for configuration of the Enterprise Buyer Professional 2.0 pilot.

·         Installed and supported several “virtual instances” of ITS for Enterprise Buyer.  Researched problems with the ITS server and applied OSS notes when needed.

01/01 – 07/01:     CGE&Y Innovation Launch Center Engagement Description:

The deliverables for this project was to develop an SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 2.0 demo system as well as develop an internal Enterprise Buyer academy.

                Role Description – (SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional Functional/Technical Consultant):

·         Technical lead for the installation and configuration of the Enterprise Buyer Professional 2.0 demo, instructor and student systems.

·         Configuration of Enterprise Buyer for both coupled and decoupled integration with an R/3 backend system.  Researched and debugged problems with Enterprise Buyer.  Applied OSS Notes when needed.

·         Configuration and installation of MarketSet Connector in order to send purchase order documents from Enterprise Buyer to MarketSet.

·         Installed and supported several “virtual instances” of ITS for Enterprise Buyer.  Researched problems with the ITS server and applied OSS notes when needed.

·         Installed IACOR middleware software in order to publish service, template and mime files from the R/3 Enterprise Buyer client.

10/00 – 12/00:     Allegheny Utility Engagement Description:

The Allegheny engagement’s primary deliverable was to roll out SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 1.0 as an on-ramp to the Enporium Utilities Exchange.

                Role Description – (SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional Functional/Technical Consultant):

·         Responsible for assisting and supporting the configuration of SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 1.0 in “standalone” mode as an on-ramp to the Enporium Utilities Exchange. 

·         Created the technical and functional design for Allegheny’s approval process using SAP’s Workflow functionality.

·         Installed and supported ITS.

 

06/00 – 09/00:     Enron Engagement Description:

The Enron engagement’s primary deliverable was to roll out an SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 1.0 pilot that would demonstrate the value that the software would bring to Enron.

·         Responsible for assisting with the configuration of an SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional 1.0 pilot.

 

12/99 –05/00:      Union Carbide Engagement

The Union Carbide SAP engagement was an upgrade project from R/3 3.0h to R/3 4.0b.

 Role Description – (SAP Functional Consultant):

·         Responsible for assisting and supporting the Materials Management team in the upgrade of SAP from 3.0h to 4.0B.  This includes assisting in the following tasks: identifying SAP changes for each transaction, identifying configuration changes and defining the integration testing methodology.  I also assisted in developing test scripts using SAP’s CATT functionality.

 

08/99 - 11/99:      Shell Chemical Engagement

·         The Shell Chemical SAP project involves the re-engineering of Shell’s business process’s with the implementation of most SAP modules.

                Role Description – (SAP Technical Consultant):

·         Responsible for the design and development of interfaces and enhancements using SAP’s ABAP/4 programming language.

 

05/99 - 07/99:      Northrop Grumman Engagement

·         The Northrop Grumman SAP project involves the re-engineering of Northrop’s business process’s with the implementation of most SAP modules.

Role Description – (SAP Technical Consultant):

·         Responsible for the design and development of interfaces and enhancements using SAP’s ABAP/4 programming language.

           

03/98 – 04/99      Eli Lilly & Company Engagement

·         The Eli Lilly & Company’s Global Business Integration Project (GBIP) involves the re-engineering of Lilly’s Global Business Process in the context of a global SAP implementation of all SAP modules. 

Role Description (01/99 – 4/99) – (Purchase to Pay Unit/Integration Testing Lead)

·         Responsible for leading the Purchase to Pay Testing team to completion of the unit testing.  I was also responsible for developing the integration testing approach and Purchase to Pay integration test plan.   I took the lead in designing a tool written in Access in order to help facilitate the creation of the integration testing plans.  This tool is used to help track the SAP system variations and business scenarios that would be incorporated into the integration tests. It also maintains other critical information, including the business requirements, functional requirements and unit tests that are associate with each integration test.

Role Description (07/98 – 01/99) – (SAP Functional Consultant)

·         My primary responsibility for this role was to serve as an SAP Materials Management functional consultant for the Purchase to Pay sub-process team during the solution development phase of the project.

·         The major deliverables during this phase of the project was the completion of functional design documents, unit testing, prototyping, and the configuration of the system.  I was also responsible for leading the development of the teams testing approach.  Mercury’s Test Director software was used as a tool in our testing approach.

Role Description (02/98 – 07/98) – (Project Manager Role)

·         As a Project Manager, my responsibilities included the development of the Technology team’s project plan, project charter and project management approach.  I was also responsible for meeting with the sub-team leads in order to update the status of the project plan and drive out team barriers/issues.  Finally, I was responsible with meeting with the Leadership team in order to communicate the status of the team and any critical team barriers/issues to them.

 

12/97 – 02/98:     Black & Decker Engagement

·         The Black & Decker SAP project involves the re-engineering of Black & Decker’s business process’s with the implementation of most SAP modules.

Role Description - (SAP Functional Consultant/ “On the Job Training”):

·         Responsible for assisting in the design, development and prototyping of SAP for Black & Decker’s Nashville Disposition Center.  This assignment was considered “On the Job Training”.  The objective was for me to gain experience with the SAP system on this engagement in order to become billable on a future engagement.

 

 

Millennium Petrochemicals (June 1995 – October 1997)

·         Member of team responsible for the initial phase of the installation of PROCESS/1, a manufacturing control system.  Work involved development of standard plant procedures for use of the software, user training, support and development of interfaces to PROCESS/1’s production scheduling module.  Supported Production Scheduling, Material Control, Order Management and Quality Control modules.

·         Successfully lead the final phase of  the implementation of PROCESS/1 in four plants.  This phase included implementing the Accounting module of PROCESS/1.  This consisted of going on site to meet with the accounting personnel to understand their needs and explain the major changes in their accounting processes.  Made modifications to interfaces, screens and reports to meet the different information needs of each plant.  Delegated work to other Millennium employees and Andersen Consultants when necessary.
