QUALIFICATIONS:
Fourteen years experience in providing  timely and effective  UNIX system and end user
support while adopting a high level of customer service. Expert in working with HP-UX,
Solaris and AIX  operating systems.  Experienced in  configuring  interface  software,
writing shell scripts,loading and configuring application software and determining and
supporting  backup requirements.  Special training  and hands on  experience in system
performance tuning and debugging UNIX system problems in client server configurations. 
Ability to analyze customer needs,  design strategies,  propose plan  and lead project

EMPLOYMENT:
UNIX Systems Administrator, Boeing-Corinth, Corinth, Texas		   1994 - 2002 
Boeing Aircraft Company (Cable and Wire Harness division)
  •  Wrote justifications,  installed and configured over twenty Hewlett Packard, four
     IBM and two Sun servers along with general maintenance.
  •  Created automatic Ignite quarterly scripts for ignite O.S. backups.
  •  Built Hewlett Packard NIS & DNS server and added over 1,500 users.
  •  Supported over 60 applications.
  •  Implemented software tools to improve  productivity in both the manufacturing and
     office environment. 
  •  Supported EMC 3270 disk caching unit.
  •  Built backup LAN for backups with an increase of over 60% backup  performance.
  •  Upgraded Hewlett Packard servers to 11.X. 
  •  Created shell scripts  for  monitoring  security issues,  auto mailing,  password
     aging information, and general paging.
  •  Supported  Mirror-UX, Oracle, Perl, ITO, NNM, OmniBack, Ignite, Openview, Service
     Guard software.
  •  Maintained a system up time of 99% or better on all servers.
  •  Configured all servers for phone home support.
  •  Installed and configured Telalert  paging software in  conjunction with OpenView.
  •  Upgraded JAMACA  disks to  FC-10's and  improved disk caching  bottleneck by 40%.
  •  Created over a thousand WEB  based help file utilities for second and third shift
     support.
  •  Redid hardware maintenance contracts and saved the company $67,000/year.

  •  General maintenance and support of Hewlett Packard and Intergraph servers.

  •  Provided on-call support as required for all servers,  workstations and software. 
  •  Developed Gerber  conversion  programs,  check  plot  generation,  and  automatic
     transfer of PWA data to board vendors.

  •  Developed remote plotting capabilities from other Boeing sites.
  •  Created backup scripts for Hewlett Packard and Intergraph workstations.
