CAREER HISTORY

 

Intellex Consulting Services, Kennett Square, PA                                                                       June 2002 - Current

 

On Assignment with CSC (U.S. Army Logistics Modernization Program)                 June 2002 - Current

·         As a Senior Functional consultant I was responsible for configuration and customization of the Material Master in close coordination with other teams including Acquisition and Distribution, PLM, Budget & Finance, and Industrial Base Objectives. The Logistics Modernization Program(LMP) is a project to implement a customized version of SAP that combines the Aerospace & Defense and Public Sector solutions to support the Wholesale Logistics portion of the U.S. Army.  Special requirements of this project include Interchangeability & Substitutability, maintaining Interfaces and Compliance to existing DoD systems, extensive Repair functionality and Financial Compliance with DFAS regulations. Additional activities included Stock Transport Order configuration, design and specification of utilities to generate configuration, and integrated scenario ownership.  SAP Version: 4.6D.

On Assignment with Rohm & Haas                                                                                  March 2001- Current

·         Working closely with the Manufacturing, Order to Cash and Procurement teams, I developed functional and technical specifications for conversion of legacy data to SAP.  I played a significant part the development and customization of utilities for data transformation, rationalization and mapping with an emphasis on Material Master Data.  I have extensive experience with quantity and unit of measure conversions and associated issues.  I worked closely with the data-management team to ensure that scope and transformational rules were clearly defined and implemented.  I had heavy involvement in the monitoring and correction of data related issues uncovered during integration testing.    SAP Version 4.6C. Tools used: ORACLE 8.0, SQL SERVER 7.0, MS ACCESS, MS EXCEL.

·         As a leader and subject matter expert in the SAP practice my responsibilities included the management of Functional and Technical consultants, development of marketing materials, SAP sales support, presentation of SAP services and capabilities to prospective clients, staffing coordination, and budget responsibility.

 

On  Assignment with RohMax, USA                                                                                         August 1998 – December 1999

·         As a lead functional consultant in Materials Management (MM) on an SAP R/3 implementation project for a major chemical company, Brian utilized SAP’s rapid implementation methodology (ASAP).  This project was unique for it involved the implementation of a multinational company onto an existing R/3 system designed specifically for Germany.  In this position I reported directly to the Global Supply Chain Manager.  I played a major role in the completion of the Project Planning Phase including developing the project plan and setting up workshop agendas.  I began an analysis of the existing SAP system in preparation for requirements workshops in Darmstadt, Germany and Lauterbourg, France.  Upon completion of the Blueprint, I performed the configuration and testing for Purchasing.  My other responsibilities included developing and providing training on the ASAP methodology and reviewing the existing systems “IMG” to develop an understanding of the current configuration.  I also developed initial presentations as “Templates” for the rest of the team.  SAP Version 3.1H.

 

Computer Aid, Transition Leader                                                                                                          March 1998 – July 1998

·         As Transition Leader for a 20 person support team I ensured that the responsibility for legacy systems was transitioned effectively and efficiently to the consultant support team.  I was responsible to ensure that the project proceeded according to plan, that support methodology components were implemented, that knowledge transfer proceeded according to plan and that a strong client relationship was established.  In addition, as Transition Leader I was responsible for managing any issues that arose as a result of transition activities.

 

SAP Partner Academy Training                                                                                                    February 1998 – March 1998

·         Received SAP Certification for the Materials Management Module at the SAP Partner Academy.  My  course work at the Partner Academy  involved training in Purchasing, Inventory Management and MRP.

 

Computer Aid, Service Delivery Leader, AmeriGas                                                     October 1996 – March 1998

·         Led a team of eight associates on a managed support project at a major propane retailer.  Responsibilities included Project Management, Transition Management, coordination of Customer Support across a national user base, Support of business critical logistical, financial and operational applications.  One of the key applications that my team supported was a system that managed the distribution of propane across a network of 600 district locations. 

 

Computer Aid, Practice Consultant                                                                  January 1995 – October 1996

·         Performed studies, assessments and transition management as a practice consultant with CAI’s Managed Maintenance© Practice. Implemented the Managed Maintenance© Methodology at existing accounts.

 

On assignment with FMC Corporation                                                                                   July 1994 – January 1995

·         Led a team of three associates supporting legacy logistics, marketing, inventory and order entry systems. Specific emphasis was on implementing EDI partners, invoicing changes and development of new inventory cycle counting applications.  Tools used: TSO, ISPF, IMS DB/DC, Data-Expert, SAS, SmartTest, IMS-Expert, FileAid, SDSF. 

 

 

 

On assignment with  ICI, Inc.                                                                                                    November 1992 – July 1994

·         Worked as a team member in the support of the an order entry system. Supported several businesses including Films, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, General Chemicals, and Agricultural Products.  Specific emphasis was on procedures and systems supporting Shipping and Receiving, MSDS processing, Batch order entry and interfaces to other order systems.  These applications were coded in Cobol using IMS DB/DC, VSAM and DB2.  Tools used:  TSO, ISPF, DATA-EXPERT, RMDS, All-In-One.

 

On assignment with DuPont                                                                                                      June 1992 – November 1992

·         Worked as a team member to enhance and support applications for client's imaging businesses and their stock locations and Inventory control system.  These applications were coded in PL/1 using IMS DB/DC.  Supported both on-line and batch processing networks for users located in the U.S. and Canada.  Tools used: TSO, ISPF, SPE, IMS-EXPERT, DATA-EXPERT, RMDS.

 

On assignment with Systematics, Inc. (formerly Commonwealth Telephone of PA)          January 1991 – June 1992

·         As an analyst on a large development effort with Sprint Telecommunications, Brian’s responsibilities included analysis, design, development and testing of a COBOL billing application.  Technical skills included COBOL, CICS, OS/JCL.

 

On assignment with PSE&G                                                                                            March 1990 -  January 1991

·         For a major utility company, participated as a member of a conversion team that converted and 8100 based customer information system to a CICS VSAM system. Skills included COBOL II, CICS, VSAM.  Performed analysis necessary for the design and development of and interactive development facility to enhance programmer productivity.

 

On assignment with Dow Jones Company                                                                                      May 1989 – March 1990

·         Assisted in a DOS/VSE to MVS/ESA conversion, where specific duties included converting DOS/JCL to OS/JCL.  Also participated in the systems documentation and systems testing of the converted systems.  Technical skills included COBOL, CICS, OS/JCL.
