Worked as part of a team on three main projects for a non-profit that managed after-school programs for the City of Philadelphia with about $50 million in annual funding. 1) The initial project required writing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) scripts and complex stored procedures to make a workflow process that loaded data into a data warehouse. The stored procedures needed to fill in the correct fields and ensure that the data warehouse did not have duplicate records or people. The data warehouse also needed to map to the original data and expose information that did not identify specific people for the end-users. The data came from the police and Dept of Human Services to feed reports/queries on demographic information for ad hoc and annual reports. 2) The second project was an ASP.NET (VB) application using a DotNetNuke (DNN) portal to handle the Contract creation, Attendance/Staff/Children maintenance, and invoicing for numerous after-school programs. The maintenance system not only handled demographic information but the attendance slots and utilization for the afterschool programs. The application also contained key performance indicator (KPI) screens/reports for management and staff. The application had up to 90 concurrent users. 3) The third project was an ASP.NET/DotNetNuke application that handled data from external sources, allowed users to manage the data, and allowed the processed data to be used by multiple applications. The ASP.NET applications used VB.Net, AJAX, Web Services, MS Office Web Components (Excel), some SharePoint setup and admin, and custom controls. Also refactored a Windows Service that was locking up and not working correctly.
