EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Exblau Corp.

Wilmington, DE

November 2001 to Present

INDEPENDENT CONSULTANT  - Provide consulting and implementation services for the Materials Management and Production Planning & Control modules of SAP.  Significant assignments include:

AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals – The initial five-month contract was to work with the Operations and Financial Systems group to work down a backlog of post go-live issues with the MM, PP-PI and FI modules. My primary responsibilities were to develop custom movement types and troubleshoot existing movement types to correct and resolve posting errors identified by the Finance Department.   Once developed, I worked closely with the business and IT staff to test the changes and move them through the quality, test and production systems in an FDA regulated environment.  After resolving the majority of the backlog issues the contract was extended another twelve months to work on a variety of other projects for the finance users at the headquarters and plant sites.  These additional projects included resolving routine production problems, supporting the development of 2006 standard product cost estimates, developing functional design documents for custom reports, and working with ABAP developers to move the completed reports through the development, QA, test and production environments.  I also led a cross functional team of plant, finance, and supply chain staff to develop a solution for managing subcontracting processes using SAP subcontract purchase orders.  This solution included custom development to capture subcontracting costs in a process order so that variances could be captured and settled by the finance staff.

Panasonic Corporation – Consumer Electronics Division - Worked with Panasonic’s IT and business unit staff on the implementation of SAP R/3 Release 4.6C in the Consumer Electronics Business.  As the Materials Management Team Lead I was responsible for facilitating blueprinting workshops to gather business requirements, mapping identified business requirements to the software, resolving gaps between the requirements and the software, and system configuration to support the final design.   Once the system was implemented I provided post go-live support for Supply Chain Management users, and knowledge transfer to the Panasonic Information Systems staff.

Panasonic Corporation – Consumer Electronics Division – Provided Systems Analysis and Design support on a pilot project with Wal*Mart to extract product information from SAP and pass it to UCCnet.  UCCnet is an Internet based global product database supported by the Uniform Code Council.   My responsibilities included mapping SAP data elements to the UCCnet fields required by Wal-Mart, developing functional specifications for the data capture and data extracts from SAP, and testing of the completed solution with UCCnet and Wal*Mart.

Panasonic Corporation – Broadcast Systems Division  - Worked with the Information Systems MM team to assist them in an upgrade from release 3.1H to 4.6C.  Responsibilities included reviewing and updating MM configuration for the new 4.6 functionality, developing and executing test scripts, assisting external documentation consultants in the development of MM delta training materials and providing post cutover support to users of the upgraded system.

Sumitomo Chemical – Implemented basic production order management processes in release 3.1H to help the customer manage internal and external manufacturing operations.  Provided remote SAP Materials Management and Production Planning configuration support on an as-needed basis.

Widener University – Teaching Assistant.  Assist the full time instructor by leading the hands-on lab portion of a senior level course in Supply Chain Management.  Prepare and present real life examples of supply chain processes using SAP release 4.7.   Teach five 2 hour sessions that cover Master Data, Sales Planning, Material Requirements Planning, Sales Order Processing, Procurement, Production Order Management and Inventory Management.  With my guidance, each student creates their own master data, develops a sales forecast, creates sales orders to consume the sales forecast, runs materials requirements planning, creates purchase orders and production orders to support the production plan and processes material movements to update inventory records and financial postings.
