I, Shakti Dhar Sharma, am the owner of Acumen Software. At this time, I am operating/managing a a team of 10 skilled engineers. 

Acumen Software, a software development and consultancy firm started in year 2000. 
It was the time of Software and Internet companies going bust and slowing economy worldwide. 
Despite a lot of layoffs in the industry, we had a business model to stand tall 
through it all and make sure we don't lay off people because of lack of work, 
or for that matter slowing economy. While the rest of the industry was used to expecting pink 
slips anytime, our people were always assured of a consistency despite occassional hardship.
In the entire period, WE ONLY HIRED, NEVER FIRED. 

Owned and managed by a self made and experienced industry professional, with over 
3 years of entrepreneurship (experience of starting a company, making it profitable 
and then making mistakes leading to disastrous results) and assisted ably by qualified 
professionals who work(ed) with us at different times, Acumen is not just another company.
Having learned from expereince, Acumen Software made sure there is always an ample 
pipeline(real, not sum of proposals sent) of work, slowly but surely adding to the 
financial stability of the company. 

Working for renowned names like Siemens in India and a lot of customers in U S A, Europe and 
other parts of the world, Acumen Software has today a list of products and clients others envy. 

We work on projects which are path breaking at times and DIFFERENT and important always, never run of the mill. 
We believe in setting a mark for ourselves in whatever we do. We don't want to be amongst the also-rans. 
This attitude has got us into long standing relations with clients which translates into a very much stable revenue, 
good reputation and excellent relationship making opportunity for the people. 

While the industry is recovering, we are well on our way to progressing, irrespecive of others.

We develop applications for ecommerce, web based project management and co-ordination, after sales support and are always one up on ideas for any new exciting ways of the usage of internet as a medium to start/enhance a business venture.

We have been working successfully as offshore development centre for our US and Europe based clients for over 3 years now (most of them are regular customers for last 2-3 years). So, we have the know-how of remote management and communication in such environment.
