  • Assess reporting evironment then created Best Practices report tailored for client’s environment.
  • Provide reporting services and best practices in developing reports for Oracle Reports, BI Publisher, Oracle Discoverer and Oracle Discoverer Administrator against Oracle Financials and client’s home grown systems.
  • Provide interface development to move and massage data between desparate systems using PL/SQL.

Independent Software Consultant

  • Designed and created custom reports using Oracle Reports for support of conversion from corporate legacy system to Oracle ERP.  Reports covered financial modules such as GL, Payables, Receivables, Project Contracts, Order Management and Manufacturing.
  • Registered reports and stored procedures in Concurrent Manager that is part of Oracle Applications 11i.
  • Created value sets in Oracle Applications 11i to support variable choices used in reporting

  • Established reporting environment for new bank teller electronic journal system (Encore) running on Oracle 10g.  Recommended best practices to client as learned from past experiences.

·         Converting Oracle Discoverer reports from version 3i to version 4i.  Included in this conversion of Oracle Order Entry system to Oracle Order Management system. Changes in architecture has caused in most cases, a rewrite of the reports. 

·         Changed folders in the Administration version of Discoverer to point to new objects and reconstruct joins.

·         Modified views to reflect architect changes in tables and their relationships.

·         Constructed Discoverer reports using custom business areas as well as Noetix views.

·         Researched problems using MetaLink as well as opening up TAR’s.

·         Used the many facilities of Toad to work with Oracle objects.

·         Provided modifications and construction of extracts for software the transportation system (Rockblocks) used by the corporate office of Timberland in Stratham, NH.

·         Created views for ad hoc reports using SQL and performance tuned when necessary. Predominantly used Oracle PL/SQL for extracts to and from disparate systems.  Created and modified Oracle triggers.  Worked on a custom subsystem of Rockblocks using Oracle Reports and Oracle Forms. Provided extracts for Cognos.
