Since 1995 I've been providing my services for multiple clients including US government, Texas Instruments Inc and Wachovia Corporation. My experience includes development of large, highly interactive web applications and web sites; frameworks for web applications; database applications for single or multi user environments; applications for drawing diagrams; software emulators and other software projects. I have performed multiple roles: programmer, architect, project manager, business analyst, mentor, tester, deployer, administrator and support person. Exposure to all these roles gave me the unique understanding of how the software should be developed and maintained.

Project: RMTools - Customer Relationship Management web application
Role: Developer

Designed and implemented several key features of the system.
Introduced an innovative way of storing letter templates and generating the actual letters from them.
Developed a testing strategy for the whole application.
Refactored parts of the application to make it simpler and more robust.

Project: Personal Finance Management Application

The goal is to build a better personal finance management application than MS Money or Quicken: it will be simpler, more intuitive and require less input from the user.
Responsible for the design and implementation of all parts of the application: GUI and interaction, object model, database and testing.
Eclipse SWT toolkit was chosen as a better alternative to both Swing and AWT.

Project: Titanium - a framework for web application development
Role: Maintainer of the project, developer, support person

Was trusted to extend and maintain the corporation's open source product used by 20-30 teams.
Implemented a reliable and predictable build schedule based on CVS, Ant and JUnit. Used Flashline tool (http://www.flashline.com) as the distribution channel.
Implemented numerous features, enhancements, bug fixes and testing scripts. Initiated and developed several new APIs (logging, authentication, HTTPS communication) to aid the development of bank's online web applications.
Served as the first support person for production and non-production issues.

Project: NextGen - Online Banking web application
Role: Architect and developer
Industry: Financial

Designed and implemented the project from the ground up. The design proved to be general enough to be used in several other web applications developed later. Eventually it was turned into a standard framework for developing highly interactive web applications.
Developed several generic components to be used in NextGen as well as other applications.
Earned the trust from the colleagues to maintain Titanium - another standard framework for web application development.

Project: MagicDraw UML - a tool for drawing UML diagrams
Role: Project leader, architect, mentor, web master and developer
Industry: Software product development

Lead a team of 8-12 developers in building the company's first software product.
Built the whole development process from scratch: organized teams, divided responsibilities, defined project plans and release schedules, planned the product's features and performed other management tasks.
Mentored most of the team members for software developer's as well as team leader's roles.
Implemented the ability to import and export Rational Rose model files.
Built the product's initial web site.

Project: Software for computer chip manufacturing process
Role: Project leader and developer
Industry: Semiconductor manufacturing
Environment: GNU C++, Frame Maker, Linux, Solaris, CVS, UML, Rational Rose, MS Project

Estimated project cost and created a project plan.
Performed requirement gathering at the client's site, produced functional requirements documentation.
Lead a team of 2-4 developers to implement three C++ programs for Solaris OS.
Created project's post-implementation analysis capturing key metrics: risks involved, mistakes made, lessons learned and other.
