EDI Specialist, LLC

Provide Gentran Server for Windows mapping and Gentran Director, implementation, installation, system architecture, EDI coordination and EDI production support to my client base. I continue to add new trading partners, communication with VAN and other direct trading partner relationships. The Client base is as follows:

Microsoft – [All] 1/06 – 6/06

This position was in the eBis department of Microsoft which was as an EDI service provider, supplying EDI solutions to many customers in all types of industries. Here I worked with several different team members on the implementation of various transactions. This included specification certification, map changes, map creation, system integration setup and testing followed by trading partner testing and production implementation.. Also work on a project to upgrade Microsoft from Gentran 3.2 to Gentran 5.1. Duties include: File management, testing all existing maps, comparing data and troubleshooting any discrepancies. Maps are conducive of all file types…positional, delimited, xml, edifecs, SAP IDocs, or ANSI.

Intex Supply – [MFG] – 10/05 – 1/05 current

EDI Project Manager - Gentran Server implementation with existing EDI trading partners. The client is migrating to Gentran with 18 partners. Project transactions consist of 850 Purchase Order, 810 Invoice, and 856 Advanced Ship Notice. All maps where started and not tested or implemented for outbound (by previous consultant). With one other consultant, our task is to test and implement each trading partner in to production. Track and communicate issues, work with application programmer, and coordinate efforts with each trading partner. Task completed.

Microsoft -[MFG] – 3/05 – 9/05

This was an XBox 360 contract manufacturer implementation project for The Home and Entertainment Division of Microsoft. The standard for this project was RosettaNet. Transaction sets include 3A4 Purchase Order Request, 3A4 Purchase Order Confirmation, 3B2 Advanced Shipment Notification, 4C1 Inventory Report Notification, and 4B2 Notify of Shipment Receipt. Responsibilities consisted of creating source and target schemas for mapping to RosettaNet. Creation of detailed specifications which, clearly describe for the transaction development team (Gentran/Biz Talk Mappers) structure and use of each transaction. Specifications consisted of ANSI X12, SAP IDocs, XML, OAGIS, and various other flat file formats (either delimited or positional). Duties also consisted of data creation, testing and production implementation.

Spark Energy LP – [UTL] – 7/03 to 3/05

Remote Gentran NT installation and configuration, and set up/map creation for several trading partners. Transaction sets include 814, 867, 820, 824, 650, and 997 (all scenarios from Texas Set Implementation). Maps are ANSI to XML and XML to ANSI both inbound and outbound. My role with this company also involves coordination of the Texas Set Certification Testing (i.e. EDI Coordinating both business side and technical side) between Spark as a Certified Retailer and their trading partners, Ercot and TDSP’s.

Crystal – Kobe [MFG] – 6/02 to Current

Remote mapping assistance and completion for the following transactions: 850, 856, and 810. I’ve completed over 50 maps for Crystal Kobe. Mapping a positional file format to ANSI. I proved Gentran configuration support and training as well as assistance with transaction set testing with trading partners.

Triboro [Grocery] – Network, NJ 3/01 to Current

Create and maintain system structure documentation for two on site Gentran Director Systems. Consistently provide Gentran Support, Configuration, Mapping and Training as new trading partners are added. The transaction sets used by Triboro are as follows: 880, 875, 850, 810, 820, 824, and 997.

Simplified Data Solutions – [UTL] 3/02 to 6/03

Specification building for Texas Set maps on Gentran NT for all transactions sets as follows: 650, 810, 814, 820, 824, and 867. Map maintenance and changes. Certification testing for SDS customers. Completed a system migration for all SDS. Provided Gentran NT support, configurations, transaction set troubleshooting, and data flow maintenance. Assisted with 997 reconciliation transaction set monitoring and daily translation monitoring.

Zircon Corporation [MFG]

Campbell, CA 11/02 to 5/03

JDE Implementation. Created 850, 810, 856, 997 and 864 maps and print forms for several of Zircon Corporation trading partners. Created system structure and Gentran System Configurations. Provided Gentran NT System Configuration and Application Integration (mapping) training.

Fresh Kist Product [Grocery] – Santa Cruz, CA 3/01 to 11/04

I have worked for Fresh Kist Produce for several months supplying Gentran NT mapping and support as needed. Transaction sets used by Triboro are as follows: 880, 875, 850, 810, 824, 820, and 997.

Weber Distribution Center [MFG] - Orange County, CA 3/01 to 10/04

Weber Distribution is a warehousing company containing several trading partners. I consistently provide Gentran NT support and mapping as new trading partners are added to their system. Weber uses the following transitions: 940, 943, 945, 944, 214 and 997.

Silicon Storage Corporation [MFG] – 5/02 to 6/02

On site Gentran NT installation of production and back up systems. Gentran NT specified configuration, system structure and mapping training. I mapped the following transactions for Silicon Storage: 867, 870, and 846.

Exolink [UTL] - 2/01 to 5/02

Provided remote mapping support for Texas Set transactions. Mapping to several different applications including positional and delimited flat files, XML, and ANSI. Assisted with Gentran NT System Configurations, transactions set testing and troubleshooting. Provided training as regular support and assisted with certification testing.

6/00 to 2/01

GE Information Services, Inc. EDI Logical Mapper, I was responsible for preparation of EDI specifications which define how data is to be taken from either an EDI document or an application interface file and processed (i.e. translated) to the other. I created these specifications using EDIFECS Spec Builder. This also included the creation of necessary test sets (both flat file and X-12 data), to accompany each logical map. The transaction sets are as follows: 810 and 814 for the Utility Industry.

12/97 to 6/00

JBI Consulting, EDI Gentran NT specialist, assigned to various clients. Provide support training and implementation services and system analysis to EDI Gentran NT users. Includes EDI implementation, installation on Gentran Server for NT and configuration, created ANSI X12, UCS EDI transaction sets (maps), tested. Established communication with VANS. Trading partner coordination and setup. NT Network support and recommendations provided with confidence.

Utility.com [UTL]

South Bay, CA 3/00 to 6/00

Provide Gentran NT (2.1) EDI coordination to the "First Online Utility" company. Gentran NT mapping training. Transaction sets include: 814 (Inbound and Outbound), 867, 810, and 820. Worked with PGE, SDGE, and SCE. Generating EDI reporting using MS Access, connecting to the Gentran Database with ODBC.

Phillips Industries [MFG] – Montebello, CA 2/99 to 3/00

Provided project management and coordination support to EDI department. Completed mapping, using Gentran Server NT, of more than 50 transaction sets, including 850, 856, 810, 830, 862. Installed and configured Gentran Server with Mailbox. Provided SQL 7.0 upgrade and installation assistance. All services were provided remotely with two on-site visits. Completed 3-month contract. Still provide remote mapping and Gentran NT support.

Brown Group (Brown Shoe Company) [MFG]- St. Louis, MO 6/98 to 2/99

Provided installation of Gentran Server for NT on Production and test machine. Coordinated with trading partners to implement EDI transaction sets. Completed remotely, over 50 856's (ASN's), including testing. Completed over 75 850's (Purchase orders), including testing. Provided upgrade assistance. 8mo contract. Successful EDI implementation. I still provide remote mapping assistance.

Superior Linkage [MFG]- Fort Wayne, IN 12/97 to 6/98

Provided installation of Gentran Server for NT onsite. Delivered education class to train the EDI coordinator the technical aspects of the Gentran Server. This company is "rip-and-read" EDI shop. Configured all communications to the VAN (Commerce Network). Completed 40+ inbound print forms. This included (850, 824, 832, 861, and 862). Completed 40+ outbound screen entry systems. This includes (856, 810). Provided upgrade assistance. Completed 6 mo. contract. Successful EDI implementation. Still provide remote mapping assistance.

AT&T, Network Operations Support. Provided support and technical assistance for hardware and software. This included Windows NT, EDI, Windows 95, Windows 3.1, Microsoft Office 95 Suite, Lotus cc: Netscape and a variety of AT&T internal applications.

Pewag Inc, Assistant Office Manager. This was a tire chain manufacturer. Responsibilities included front office support, customer service, heavy phones, inventory control, order entry, invoicing, expense reports, and cash handling. EDI, Credit application approvals and extensive warehouse interface.

1/92 to 1/94

US Bank, Customer Service Representative. This position started off as an internship for 49er ROP Banking & Finance course. Duties were extensive customer service, balancing of cash drawer; account inquires, as well as, new accounts. Valt Teller responsibilities included money distribution to other tellers from valt. Keeping organized records of what each Teller had.
