1998-Present Honeywell, Inc. Phoenix, Arizona Database Developer/Programmer § Has telecommuted full-time to Phoenix since August of 2003. Currently resides in Hugo, Oklahoma. Prior to that, worked on-site in Phoenix. § Started in 1998 as contractor and migrated to full-time status in 2001, in same position. § Designed/Implemented several SQL Server databases using various MS Access versions for the interface, including several with 500+ users on 3 continents (N. America, India, Russia) interfacing to the same SQL databases where the users are using NT authentication and SQL Server authentication, VPN and PCAnywhere, depending on location. Implemented DTS packages pulling and transforming data from Oracle to SQL Server. Business rules implemented via triggers and stored procedures. § Creation and maintenance of various multi-user databases including modification of existing code to improve process which originally required 70+ man-hours per month processing time to requiring less than three man-hours per month, creation and implementation of code verification to test station results replacing the customer's need for an audit of the SmallTalk code. Various convenience applications for departmental use, such as the "PDFer" which automates conversion of directories of Excel, Word and PowerPoint files into one PDF file. Earned Value calculations based on data in MS Project and SQL Server. Automated process of retrieving test data via FTP, performing calculations and importing into Oracle, to run once per hour, 24/7, eliminating need for human processing. § Designed/Implemented Oracle databases replacing Access databases, while maintaining existing interface. § A team member of one winning team for the 1998 Progress Award (but not eligible due to subcontractor status). Recipient of several 'spot' awards. 1993 - 1997 Ugly Duckling Corporation Phoenix, Arizona Financial Analyst § Creation and maintenance of various multi-user databases including a) adherence to policy (underwriters, loan portfolio to covenants with funding institutes), demographics and mapping by Zip code; b) charge-off analysis database and comparison of same to the underwriting database to establish flaws in underwriting policy; c) tracking investor relations d) tracking SEC filings of the major competitors; e) accounting database which imports data from text files from the Unix customer database in the close of monthly books; f) various spreadsheets and databases to reconcile financial activity, from the time the company customer portfolio totaled less than ten million dollars to when it totaled more than $165 million. § Creation of many templates for the collections department, the insurance department, the accounting department, and the processing department in both Word and Excel. § Formatting, proofreading and submission of EDGAR documents to the Securities and Exchange Commission since the company "went public" in June, 1996 |
