	Arthur Anderson Consulting: Provided Apps DBA support for Anderson Consulting Team during installation and configuration of Oracle 11i Financial and HR modules for Carolina Power.  

	Polk County Property Appraiser’s Office:  Implemented RMAN applied Solaris patches and upgraded Oracle instances to 8i.  Installed and configured Discoverer, resolved a number of performance issues, mentored Unix System Admin.  Worked with Unix Sys Admin to modify and tune a number of kernel parameters.  Worked with Network Admin to resolve SQL*NET performance issues.  Installed and implemented Oracle 11i HR and Financial modules.  Prod system is a 2-tier environment, cloned 2-tier to 1-tier for regression testing of Family patches.  Used primarily Solaris native commands for tuning the OS.   Installed and configured Oracle SDE for ESRI project with GIS Department members. 

	Chase Mortgage Company:  Worked with IT staff to converted Sybase 11 Database to HA Oracle 8i.  Used ERWIN to convert the Sybase schema to an Oracle schema.  Worked with Sybase DBA and developers to resolve database conversion issues including the conversion of views, triggers and stored procedures in a partitioned environment.

	Home Shopping Network: Installed and configure Oracle HA.  Worked with UNIX SA’s (GCA staff) to extensively test and resolve all fail over issues for database and applications.   

	BayCare:  Oracle DBA for internet project management application.  Install RDBMS software, administrator development and production instances. Developed PL/SQL packages returning cursors variables for Java front-end.  Loaded data using SqlLoader.  Instances resided on E450 running Solaris 7.   Configured and monitored RMAN backups and database performance.  Developed, modified and maintained new data models using ERWIN.

	Citrus County:  Remote DBA contracted to monitor database performance via OEM and various tuning scripts.  Reconfigured the Oracle database and Solaris kernel parameters for improved performance.  Documented procedures and mentored IT staff. Upgraded Oracle instance from 7.3.4 to 8i.   Installed and configured EBU for daily backups. 

RAYTHEON CORPORATION, ST, PETE, FL 	Oct 1994 – May 1999

	Oracle DBA responsible for the administration of 10 instances, a combination of production, test, and development.  Supported apps DBA’s as well as developers and end users.  Instances ranged from Oracle 6 to Oracle 8i on a Sun Solaris platform. 
	Monitored database performance using Enterprise Manager and various tuning scripts and maintained SQL*NET objects with Network Manager.
	Provided technical expertise in the conversion of Sybase System 10 database to Oracle 7.  Worked with Sybase database developers to resolve conversion issues ranging from data and time differences, data types, stored procedures and triggers.  
	Worked extensively with application group to improve performance of nightly batch process and end user application screen displays.  Dramatic performance improvement gained by using internal Oracle tables, re-indexing and de-normalizing methods as well as native kernel parameters.

Oracle DBA/ Developer
•	Project Level Oracle DBA responsible for the management of production and non-production relational databases. Responsible for standards and design of physical data storage, maintenance and security administration.  Worked with Enterprise Level DBA to configure database parameters, prototype designs against logical data models, perform system backups and strategize recovery methods and define data dictionary requirements.  Also allocated and re-allocated database resources for optimum configuration and database performance. Oracle instance on a Sun OS platform. 
•	Mainframe developer responsible using PL/1 for the development, testing and implementation of in-house software applications.  Primarily worked on DMS (Development Management System).  Source changes were based on prioritization from user group.  The DMS system was a wrapper for SCCS (Source Code Control System) on the MVS mainframe.   Project/Technical Leader for the BASE (Bellcore’s Advanced Software Environment) Italian Telecom team.  Coordinated, implemented and traveled to Naples, Italy for installation of all BASE (7 in-house) applications.
