·         Responsible for deploying SAP APO to handle the client's supply chain planning requirements

Retail (Apparel and Footwear) – Solution Architect / Project Manager Nov 2004 - Jan 2005

·         Solution architect & Project manager for the design of a custom supply planning optimization tool as a ‘bolt on application’ to SAP - Retail system. 

·         The solution was aimed at determining the optimum production factory based on cost, time, tooling, trade regulations etc.

·         Provided functional design and technical design for custom development. Provided estimates, direction and project management methodology to an offshore organization for undertaking the custom development of the solution.

 

Telecommunications – Consultant Sept 2004 - Oct 2004

·         Provided project management framework to run multiple IT projects in parallel. Developed a solution that used IT tools and work processes combining with best practices for running projects. Provided direction to the client in using ‘Enterprise Architecture’ tools like ARIS for process modeling and integrating Aris with SAP-Solution manager to drive IT projects

·         Conducted facilitated sessions and gathered business requirements of various user groups for implementing Electronic Procurement process. Used Ariba-Buyer as the technology platform. Translated the user requirements in to technical specifications and guided the programmers to code business rules using SCHEME to support the workflow and approval process. 

 

Biotechnology - Solution Architect   May 2003 - Aug 2004

·         Lead solution architect for the implementation of Sales and operations planning across four business units. The scope of solution included WW Demand planning, Collaborative demand planning, supply planning and revenue planning processes.

·         Worked with client leadership team, functional groups from operations, sales,

      Marketing and finance to gather requirements identify gaps and build a consensus

      for an integrated solution design. Used SAP R3/BW/SEM/APO technologies to build      

      an integrated solution for supporting the S&OP process.

·         Provided direction to the client on the design of planning organization and the associated roles. Recommended venues for centralization of planning functions

 

 

Chemicals – Design Lead   Sept 2001 - Jan 2003, 

·         Key design role for SAP-PP PI module at a large chemicals manufacturing client with an organization scope of 7 business units across 20 manufacturing sites. Provided leadership and hands-on experience for all the activities from Blue print through realization, testing, go-live & Production support. Managed a client team of  7 – 10 members in different phases of the project

·         Configured the MRP system to suit the needs of several product families. Integrated MRP with Sales and Distribution module for providing ‘Available to Promise’ functionality.  Provided thought leadership on the project in handling the complexity of MRP, Subcontracting, ATP and the Integration points of PP with CO-PA, WM, QM, MM and SD

 

Industrial Fabrics - Team member   May 2001 - July 2001

·         Key member of the design team for Production Planning Module Implementation. Involved with requirements gathering, gap analysis, configuration, testing and training for the major components of PP functionality.

·         Developed interfaces between PP module and Shop floor system. Managed a team of 3 members

 

Steel        -    Team lead   Nov 2000 - April 2001

·         Team lead for Data migration effort.  Lead the effort on Migrating SAP data to a custom-built data warehouse. Provided the client with data migration strategy, Project Plans that helped them to make decisions on data migration. Developed and maintained other Project Management deliverables. Managed 3 resources

·         Production support activities of PP/MM/QM modules to custom built interfaces between SAP and Process automation (VAX systems). Conducted facilitated sessions to gather extraction requirements for PP/MM/QM/WM modules. Guided the coding team to write ABAP code, tested their programs for compliance with specifications and helped the client to sign off on design.
