UPGRADE to ECC 5.0 project - â?“ Implemented by Rapidigm

WR Grace is in the process of upgrading their current SAP systems 4.0b, 4.6c to ECC 5.0

His responsibilities in this project included:

· Analyzing and Preparing the custom development objects list in the old system

· Analyzing the transports after building the new development boxes

· Analyzing the objects in SPAD and SPAU for the changes made to SAP objects in the old systems

Beaches Project - â?“ Implemented by Rapidigm

WR Grace acquired Catalyst Components(AKZO) unit from Basell Polyolefins Edison NJ. This unit was using SAP 4.6C before acquisition. Beaches project�s aim was to bring the AKZO business on to WR Grace  SAP 4.7. This was a M&A (Merger and Acquisition) so the full functionality was brought over into SAP 4.7.

The newly acquired business has a functionality of Cylinder Management (Global Fleet Management � GFM). The current new functionality in WR GRACE was not sufficient to meet the business requirements for Beaches. 

AKZO system was a highly sophisticated system where the units are identified as Equipment.  The cylinder to be used (serial #) was tied to the sales order up front by the CSR. If it was not assigned by the CSR, then the cylinder (by serial number) is assigned to the Production Order by the Logistics Manager.

The current AKZO process utilizes PM Equipment records.

 

His responsibilities in this project included:

•  Leading the both offshore and onshore development team.
• Analyzing and merging the data from table dumps received from AKZO into easy to understand and usable format to be loaded into WR grace system. This data includes Bill of materials, Vendor master Data,  sales order data, Billing data and HAZMAT text.
• Loading master data using LSMW
• Copying and Modifying IH08 transaction to meet the new business requirements.
• Developing a one step automated returns process for Cylinder returns process, which include creating Return Sales order, Creating Return Delivery, PGI the delivery and updating the Equipment classification data and User status.
• Linking this Return Process to above new transaction.
• Developing a custom module pool program used to assign fleet objects serial numbers to sales order and change the System and User status of Equipment master.
