Industry: Manufacturing

Description: Vitro is a major participant in two principal businesses: flat glass and glass containers. Its subsidiaries serve multiple product markets, including construction and automotive glass; food and beverage, wine, liquor, cosmetics and pharmaceutical glass containers. Vitro also produces raw materials and equipment and capital goods for industrial use, which are vertically integrated in the Glass Containers business unit.

Description: Full life cycle SAP FI-CO implementation, including integration with third party software.

      Role: SAP FI-CO Senior Consultant at Mexico

 

·         Study of current business processes, future business flows and identification of gaps and workarounds in order to provide an integrated information system solution to meet the business needs of the company.

·         Business Requirements Mapping for Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Internal Orders (IO) and Product Costing (PC) modules.

Project: Oracle Financials Upgrade.                                                                       Aug 06 to Dec 06

Description: SAP Mexican rollout project for the following modules: GL, AR, CP, AA, CCA, PCA and IO. This project was controlled by the base team located at France and it was as part of the business technology expansion.

Role: Team Leader.

 

·         Fit/gap analysis of Master Global Template processes with the local requirements of TPI Mexicana.

·         Suggesting the best practices in the industry in conjunction with local requirements and within the preview of Global Template.

·         Played a key role in performing the plan provided by France in order to meet time expectations in the Mexican rollout.

·         Defined the technical specifications from the legacy data conversion to SAP data.

·         In charge of 2 consultants and 1 ABAP programmer to approach the rollouts specifications.

·         Provided training to end users on all the implemented modules

Description: Rexcel is the premier producer of high pressure decorative laminates, low pressure thermofused melamine boards, finished foil paper laminates, and particleboard. Rexcel is fully integrated, internally producing melamine, urea formaldehyde and Phenolic resins. Rexcel also produces the particleboard substrates used in its Panelart.

Description: SAP implementation of the following modules: MM, SD, PP, QM, FI and CO.

Project: SAP Mexican Rollout                                                                        Jul 2005 – March 2006

Description: To unify Owens Corning in a single business system, the company replaced the 250 disparate legacy systems of its recent past with a corporate-wide system using SAP R/3 ERP and Oracle Database. The project was called Advantage 2000.

Role: Team Leader

 

·         Team Leader of the Controlling module implementation.

·         Fit/gap analysis of Master Global Template processes with the local requirements of Owens Corning.

·         Configured the CCA, PCA, Cost Element Accounting, IO, PC and CO-PA modules.

·         Conducted training sessions for the CO implemented modules of SAP and also provided training manuals.

·         Provided training to end users on the CO implemented modules

·         Carrying out regression testing and data validation.

·         Carrying out User Acceptance Tests.

Description: Project scope involved implementation of SAP V4.6C modules: CCA, PCA, Cost Elements Accounting, IO, PC and CO-PA.

Description: Design processes of the SHCP oriented and adaptable to any GRP system.

Role: Senior Functional Consultant.

Description: This customer needed support for its Assets Management module, it had been configured incompletely but they were not able to start in time with the module. When I was hired by them I made a review on its configuration and I solved its problems in the configuration.

Description: Cartones Ponderosa, based in Mexico, is the leading company that produces and sells recycled coated board for the manufacture of folding cartons. The Company produces more than 50% of the total Mexican recycled coated board made, and is the only one exporter in its field.

 

Project: SAP Implementation                                                                           Nov 1995 – Mar 1999

Description: SAP Implementation in order to replace the AS 400 system for the finances applications. The SAP implementation was initially at Cartones Ponderosa then it was rollout for Ecofibras Ponderosa and Aluprint that are part of the group of companies belong to Cartones Ponderosa.
