·         Managed Notes/Domino Development team of 5 people. Provided project management, outsourcing, team member development plans/reviews, support and extensive cross training.

·         Utilized full life-cycle development methodology to build a Knowledge Management and collaborative system based on Lotus Notes/Domino (R4/5) for both Notes and web clients. Elements of the system included:

  • Knowledge Portal: The application replaced the Notes Workspace providing company news, new business, local replica management and application links. Also provided global Internet dialing services to assist users in connecting to the Internet for replication. Reduced training requirements to 2 hours per user in a high-turnover environment. Developed using Notes/Domino R5, LotusScript, Notes /Windows APIs and VB.
  • Proposal Library: Provided workflow for the submission, indexing, abstracting and distribution of best-practice proposals. Greatly improved response time, ensured profitability and prevented consultants from reinventing the wheel. Developed using Notes/Domino, LotusScript with pumped data from Clipper/dBase and Oracle.
  • Teambase template: Provided discussion and document management functions as well as a home page for targeted groups within the company. The application allowed users to easily collaborate on such things as target accounts, proposal generation and client interventions. Developed using Notes Domino, LotusScript and JavaScript.
  • Web Portal: Updated initial Knowledge Portal with a web interface enabling real-time access to company information and email from client sites. Greatly reduced dial-up expenses and increased consultant productivity. Developed using Notes/Domino, LotusScript and JavaScript.
  • Documents application: Allows knowledge managers to distribute structured information such as research reports and white papers based on Microsoft Word templates. Developed using Notes/Domino, high-level LotusScript and OLE (Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat)
  • Utility classes (reusable code): Created LotusScript utility classes for array handling, PKZip/WinZip control, Notes API, Windows API and Windows Registry access.
