Independent Consultant (Core Development) SAP America/SAP Labs 03/2005 – till date
Responsible
for management and development of SAP Claims Management for Workers
Compensation (part of SAP Insurance business unit). Performed all project
management activities for Workers Compensation product development cycle
including tasks, logistics and time management. Designed, developed and managed
claims management tools like benefit calculator for Workers Compensation,
benefit catalogs, first notice of loss (FNOL/FROI), third party interface with
SAP for benefit rules, Microsoft Office integration with SAP and other claims
management features for US Workers Compensation. Part of SAP core development
team for SAP Insurance (Financial Services) based in US and Walldorf. Core

SAP Product Development
Developed wrapper APIs to be used
within the SAP HR OM implementation to create business partners, organizational
units and staff assignments. Assisted the development team to develop reports
and interfaces to mass upload jobs, positions and other organizational entities
from the legacy system into the SAP production environment. Performed
development of SAP Java Connectors in order to build web-interface between
customer web site and SAP R/3 system. Developed Java beans for use with vendor
site that interfaces with Material Master and cross-components within SAP.
Built custom MS Access database as a temporary data storage station between web
front-end and SAP R/3 system and developed objects in Java to read/manipulate
data from SAP.

implementation. Setup Business Process Master List to manage all activities in
the EH&S implementation via IMG. Managed the team and project tasks in the
realization phase of the implementation. Design and code complex customer exits
and gaps and oversee development of enhancements and gaps done by pool of
developers in the team. Implement Product Safety & Dangerous Goods solution
of SAP and create a SAP web-interface for users and vendors to see the material
safety data sheets and other product regulatory information. MSDS Website
project included setup and installation of existing standard SAP web-interface
solution followed by customer specific requirements on the website using
JavaScript, Java, JSP and ABAP/4. In addition, the MSDS document search and

Designed and developed warehouse and
inventory tracking solution for New Jersey CRTK and Federal SARA reporting.
Defined the scope of the project and managed the project using ASAP project management approach. Created
BPML after defining the scope of the project, managed IMG activities and lead
the team and client resources through the development and integration test
phases of the project. Functionality primarily comprised of ABAP/4 development
to collect warehouse inventory data on nightly basis followed by data
optimization and archiving. Reporting was triggered off a dialog transaction
and SAP regulatory & MM data was read using RFC and BAPIs from remote R/3
systems. WM data was initialized by ABAP background job into the collection
table after archiving so as to ensure accuracy of current stock levels from the
database. Additional tasks for this project included data dictionary setup, IMG
configuration, RFC setup, setup of background jobs, project management,
functional and technical specification. Worked with the lead business and
functional experts to create training manual and user documentation. Created
specifications and developed tool in ABAP for initialization of stock
quantities from the storage bin stock levels from database tables.

core-development team involved in development, troubleshoot and implement
custom enhancements for SAP Recipe Management System (SAP PLM). Developed several custom transactions and programs to
create, modify and process RMS documents in the SAP DMS (Document Management
System) using BAPIs for SAP DMS. Developed features for SAP RMS in ABAP like
status network to use Engineering Change Management, legacy data upload tool,
RMS customer exits, web-interface for product and packaging document management

Designed and developed a custom
solution for processing datasheets for environmentally relevant materials. The
user exits performed validations for dangerous goods and the corresponding
safety datasheets were further processed in the report shipping background job
that was executed on a nightly basis. Built a custom solution using ABAP to
upload datasheets automatically from the legacy systems and link them to the
environmentally flagged materials in MM. Designed and developed exits to drill
down the KIT materials and get the datasheets for the part materials that form
the KIT. Similar functionality was also developed for multi-component FERTS.
