Mr. Savage is an Independent Consultant with significant experience in the planning, design, development and implementation of business information systems. He has developed and applied his knowledge in the utilities, medical, chemical manufacturing and distribution, and consumer products industries. As an independent consultant, Mr. Savage was chartered with evaluating and reengineering planning strategies, ATP configuration, and overall business processes in this MTO and MTS environment as part of a sustainability project started six months after the initial SAP go-live. This facility is one of Mead-Westvacoâ?™s largest manufacturing facilities generating over $600 million in revenue and operating up to defined 150 work centers. Mr. Savage resolved inconsistencies between the forecasts in APO/DP and R/3â?™s DM as well as ATP confirmation issues related to finished good materials used in the manufacturing process for kits and displays. He assisted with the blueprinting and configuring an ATO strategy for the MTO business and continues to provide configuration, testing, documentation and user training.

As a consultant for Perot Systems, Mr. Savage was PP team lead in the two month blueprinting phase of a discrete MTO and MTS production environment for Owen Industries. In this short time frame, Mr. Savage was defined and documented all business process scenarios related to planning and manufacturing. In addition, he defined all work centers, shifts, shift sequences and field parameter values relevant to work centers, work center formulas, routings, standard values, and BOMs.

As a Senior Consultant for Perot Systems, Mr. Savage provided training, readiness testing and go-live support for a successful July 1 go-live of 4 plant locations for Mead-Westvaco. Responsibilities included process review, documentation development, user training, readiness testing, and go-live support for this fast paced MTO printing business with 1 to 2 day turn around from point of sales order entry to sales order delivery. Mr. Savage was the primary go-live support of planning and production for the Louisville facility. Other areas of support included procurement, subcontracting, sales and distribution, and process tuning.

As a Senior Consultant for Perot Systems, Mr. Savage served on project team chartered to identify, develop and implement system improvements in areas related to production planning for the Corus Groupâ?™s Thomas Steel Strip division. The primary focus was on integration points between SAP, a custom legacy shop floor application, and an external planning application. This was accomplished through the creation of a new company code. Mr. Savage was responsible for configuring and testing the Materials Management and Production Planning areas. The comprehensive configuration requirements were from definition and assignments of the highest level of organizational objects down to the shop floor control areas of the IMG in a repetitive manufacturing environment.

Mr. Savage served as an employee and member of a project team responsible for a global implementation of the primary SAP R/3 modules for a $6 billion leading supplier and distributor of chemicals, plastics, and composite materials serving industries including automotive, adhesives, composites, metal casting, merchant marine, paint, paper, plastics, watercraft and water treatment. The project was designed to facilitate the consolidation of multiple independent divisions, and operations within the chemical sector into a single company using SAP R/3 4.7 Enterprise. The project followed the ASAP implementation methodology in of which Mr. Savageâ?™s primary responsibilities lay in the areas of Production Planning and Production Execution.
Mr. Savage developed and presented, to senior staff, the process designs and functional designs related to SOP, LTP, DM, MRP, and Production Execution (Production Planning for Process Industries) during the blue print phase of the project. In the realization phase, Mr. Savage configured, tested, and developed Business Process Procedures (BPPs) and batch jobs for these areas. Mr. Savage developed support documentation and procedures for user training material. Additionally, Mr. Savage supported other team members in the development of Batch Management, Inventory Management, Master Data and Finite Scheduling. With a solid understanding of product costing, logistics execution, and master data, Mr. Savage played an integral role in integration testing on this project.

Mr. Savage was actively involved in the complete life cycle of a SAP R/3 implementation for a $1.3 billion leading marketer, distributor and producer of branded automotive and industrial products and services. This division was a component of a $6 billion leading supplier and distributor of chemicals, plastics, and composite materials.
Using the ASAP implementation methodology for implementing the 4.6B version of R/3, Mr. Savage was primarily responsible for MM with secondary responsibilities in area of PP-PI. He designed and developed an Access database that was used as the repository and cleansing tool for the master data. Mr. Savage performed configuration, testing, and documentation in areas related to Purchasing, Subcontracting, Consignment, Inventory Management, Production Execution (PP-PI), and Logistics Execution.
Mr. Savage provided support for the 15 plant go-live. The production facility in Houston, TX, the location where Mr. Savage resided at go-live, was later used as a model for best practices for the other facilities. Mr. Savage developed best practice documentation and implemented these procedures across the other plants during the stabilization phase that followed go-live.
Mr. Savage provided continued support for this implementation through individual contributions as well as management of direct staff and pooled resources. Mr. Savage played an integral role in upgrading the system to 4.7 Enterprise.

Mr. Savage succeeded in a wide variety of increasingly responsible systems implementation positions for a $1.3 billion leading marketer, distributor and producer of branded automotive and industrial products and services. This division was a component of a $6 billion leading supplier and distributor of chemicals, plastics, and composite materials.
Mr. Savage served on many teams and committees to direct the divisionâ?™s information systems. He was greatly involved in the ERP software evaluation and selection process to replace the legacy Order Management, Product Costing and Inventory Management and Production systems. He helped to guide the RFID solution mandated by Wal-Mart. In addition, Mr. Savage prepared and presented cost benefit analysis studies on procuring and implementing a WMS for the automotive division and a combination of both the automotive division and the $3.2 billion chemical distribution division.
Mr. Savage was the Project Manager on a successful Y2K project for the divisionâ?™s 15 production and warehouse facilities. He led the team to ensure Y2K preparations were completed for the divisionâ?™s legacy Inventory Management and Production system which was named VIPS. Tasks included modifications to the inventory applications, interfaces, remote servers, and desktop operating systems.
Mr. Savage was heavily involved in the full life cycle of the divisionâ?™s Inventory Management and Production system which was called VIPS. Mr. Savage participated in the design, development, and implementation of the system and later became the Project Manager responsible for system support involving software enhancements and hardware infrastructure. This system was a client server design using COBAL, CICS, DB2 and OS/2. Mr. Savage later led the team to convert the system from OS/2 servers and workstations to NT servers and Windows 3.x workstations. Other significant enhancements, included the development of cycle counting, VMI, dial-up access by facilities without servers, Token Ring to Ethernet conversion, and implementation in subcontracting locations.
As a Systems Engineer, Mr. Savage played a critical role in the divisionâ?™s EDI project by developing the programs to evaluate and create customer orders from inbound trading partner data primarily using ANSI X12 mapping rules.
As a development team member of the divisionâ?™s Order Management System project, Mr. Savage developed the interface between the mainframe and the 3270 emulation software used to print shipping documents at the remote distribution facilities.

As a Systems Analyst, Mr. Savage performed systems development and support for the St. Joseph hospital in Lexington, KY. He also developed a Radiology Information Systems. In addition, Mr. Savage made enhancements to the accounting systems in the areas of discharge receivables and bad debt accounts.
