Circuit City Stores, Inc., VA – Contract Position (4/2007 to 6/2007)

Quality Analyst, Merchandise  Systems Transformation (MST) Program – target the replacement of the merchandising functionality on the current AS400 legacy systems, used by Circuit City’s Consumer Electronics and Entertainment divisions with a state-of-art packaged software application; Oracle / Retek products.

 

·         Design functional requirements from high-level business requirement for use in integration testing Unix batch processes. Requirements and testcases were stored in Mercury Quality Center. Used IBM Oracle Developer for SQL queries.

·         Design functional requirements from high-level business requirements for use in integration testing AS400 processes that will be remediated and/or discontinued. Used Surveyor/400 for SQL queries.

·         Entered the requirements and test scenarios into Mercury Suite repositiory for testing.

 

Philip Morris, USA, Richmond, VA – Contract Position (9/2006 to 3/2007)

Business Analyst, Pay for Performance Project

Automate the Non-Discretionary Bonus Payments for Labor Relations so that all eligible employees are paid accurately and the process is compliant with the labor contract, Sarbanes Oxley, and the Fair Labor Standards Act.

 

·         Develop document requirement specifications and test plans and communicate with business customers, and end users, worked directly under a project manager, and communicated with programmers in the U.S. and Canada who are involved in the development, integration and implementation of IBM and SAP systems. This collaboration found ways to cut the manual bonus payments process by 90%.

 

·         Provide end to end execution across all applications (SAP, Mainframe, Tesseract) that will interface with the Non-Discretionary Payment system, through Integration and user acceptance testing.

 

·         Develop, and document the Payroll Process for new product manufacturing facility. Develop the payroll process flows, create the Visual Basic Time Tracking system manual and train the users on how to use it.

Served as Test Lead on a team of six, provide test coordination activities to an enterprise platform integration system (On Boarding System/Provisioning), that integrates all the people and systems managed by authoritative offices such as Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management. 

 

Goals were accomplished by the following:

·         Organized and monitor identity management test activities, test workflows, and produce test results reports for the provisioning system.

·         Arrange and facilitated test activities, test status meetings.

·         Kept the Knowledgelink (Peoplesoft) documents repository updated with latest documents.

·         Recorded test defects in Rational ClearQuest.

Test Analyst , FailWeb Enhancement/Modification and Backend Applications

Provide test coordination of the back end applications in preparation of Securities to Securities merger due to complete September, 2004. 

 

Goals were accomplished by the following:

·         Work collaboratively with business users to gather requirements of pre-merger applications.

·         Plan, organize, and execute testing of integrated systems and new test environments.

·         Develop test plans and test cases in order to performed component testing to eleven applications that were transferring to the new merger setup and design.

·         Collaborated with project management, clients and vendors on scheduling for the merge scheduled for September 2004.

Department of Taxation, Richmond VA –Contract Position (02/2001 to 04/2004)

Performance Monitoring and Evaluation Services (PMES) Project

 

Provide independent oversight and verification and validation audit functions to the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Taxation (TAX) during the development and replacement of their legacy MVS mainframe system with a client-server UNIX based system. 

 

As a Northrop Grumman employee the goals that were accomplished by the following:

  • Provided verification and validation and audit functions to ensure automated systems are sufficiently tested to validate performance requirements and criteria;
  • Maintained daily interactions with the client (TAX) and the developer contractor through one-on-one meetings, status meetings, and other means necessary to be familiar with the system under development and to build and maintain a rapport with the development and test teams;
  • Provide advice and guidance through close consultation with senior Northrop Grumman leaders regarding performance test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios/scripts/cases;
  • Review performance requirements and criteria, and review and comment on performance test plans;
  • Participate in performance tests, monitor performance test conduct, and report on ( to include making recommendations) performance test conduct
  • Assist other Northrop Grumman assigned team members in the conduct of their duties where appropriate.
