EXPERIENCE
I have over fifteen years of Software Development, Product/Project Management and Quality Assurance and Marketing
experience in various fields including: secure web-based document transport systems and servers, biotech, network
management, desktop publishing and e-commerce software, as well as several years of experience managing teams of
between five and twenty software engineers.
I am excellent at balancing time to market with feature set in order to release product on the specified deadlines.
I have trained and mentored more than 100 developers and testers over the course of my career, teaching them the real
world scenarios such as documentation of systems, defect tracking, and product life cycle issues.
At Adobe Systems I lead a team of testers in the localization of Adobe software into thirteen single-byte languages.
Within two release cycles sales increase up to 50% in many countries due mainly to the increased quality of the product
and the accuracy of the translations. I also worked with the Core team on various projects and on English PageMaker
and Persuasion teams.
At Amazon.com I contracted part-time. My work there initiated the need for a Quality Assurance group to focus on
testing of the web site.
At FORE Systems I assisted the development team in a complete rewrite of the network management software. The
application initially consisted of many very poorly constructed applets that the user had to launch independently for
each function. The redesign consisted of a multi-tiered design consisting of a Java front-end, an Informix back-end, an
Apache server, and middleware written by various third-party companies. The final product included all functionality
in a web-based interface that supported many browsers and integrated with HP Openview network management
packages and as a stand-alone application.
At Cellomics I established the quality assurance department as well as the software development processes and
procedures. The team initially consisted of three developers and no tester. I assisted in hiring and training of a team of
thirty developers and testers to build a team responsible for writing and testing user interface, databases and algorithms
to analyze information obtained from an imaging devices developed by Cellomics. I also worked with the teams
responsible for development of devices to ensure integration and functionality was properly implemented.
At Securit-e-Doc I established software development processes and procedures as well as documentation and testing
standards. I was responsible for the develop efforts of two separate projects; a secure document transport package and
a secure web server package. I was also the key contact person for all solution providers and government agencies.
This included training, setting up and supporting the systems that were put into the field.
At Creative Ideas & Intrinsiq Software Solutions I am the freelance web and graphic designer. Working extensively
