My name is Llanivi Rosado. I am a Technical Recruiter for S3 www.strategicstaff.com I have immediate positions that need to be filled. IS Architect - Java Swing Location: Orlando FL Full time Position Define high level application and system architecture solutions for complex projects in a multi-platform distributed environment. - Key contributor in creation and maintenance of strategic plan for application development area, and ensure adherence to plan for all application development efforts. - Consult with IS and Business management to evaluate complex user requests and clarify objectives and functional requirements for new or modified computer programs. Determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and system capabilities. - Independently solve complex, analytical problems with innovative approaches and solutions. - Ensures adherence to enterprise architecture standards and recommendations for achieving maximum performance and efficiency of the system - Provide technical direction for cross-functional application design and development team. Will take ownership or act as a technical lead for system and application design projects and direct the work of other team members. - Work on special projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS •BS/BA, or MBA/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. •8+ years experience in application design and development. •Advanced knowledge of Java 2, Swing (JFC). Knowledge of UML (class diagrams, sequence diagrams, etc). •Advanced knowledge of object oriented analysis and design (OOA&D). Proficient knowledge of LDAP, XML. •Experience using the Microsoft Windows OS (XP preferred). •Experience using IBM Rational and Eclipse development IDE¿s. •Experience using IBM Websphere and Websphere Studio Application Developer (WSAD). •Experience with Unix (Solaris or Linux preferred). •Knowledge of Data Architecture practices, concepts and methodology. •Ability to coach the technical development of less senior developers. •Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry experience preferred. •4GL GUPTA Centura/SQLWindows Development experiences a plus. •Experience in large scale, multi-platform, distributed environment. •Demonstrated ability to develop customized solutions to meet business requirements. •Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate plans, strategies and outcomes. •Demonstrated ability to prioritize work load and meet project deadlines.
