We are in partnership with Bloomberg, chartered to do the technical hiring for them. They are located in New York, NY, named one of the Top 100 companies to work for in IT. Bloomberg has contracted Solomon-Page on an exclusive basis to help them find strong UNIX/C++ software engineers.
Knowledge of the world financial markets is a definite plus but not a requirement. Superb application development skills, a strong user-orientation, and creativity are requirements.
Qualifications
BS/MS/PhD Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Related Field (or equivalent expertise)
5+ years hands-on C/C++ Development Experience (or equivalent expertise)
Strong skills in User-Oriented Design
Solid Understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented design Working knowledge of Financial Markets a plus Strong scripting knowledge Experience with Javascript Strong multithreaded experience Practical Experience with Unit/ Regression Testing Practical experience with Version Control Systems Solid verbal and written Communication skills
