This is a 6-12 month contract opportunity.
Below is the description of the position:
Seeking an accomplished Agile Product Owner to join the Services Organization. The desired candidate would have excellent
system analysis skills and would be capable of transforming business
requirements into technology solutions. Functional Areas of responsibility
include supporting both Web Services development as well as a recent
SAP Deployment.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Accept requirements from multiple stakeholders and prioritize product
backlogs and analyze them for impacts to the systems
• Act as a liaison between the agile delivery team and business groups by
communicating product and business vision, translating product needs into
technology solutions
• Reconstruct requirements into user stories with enough detail for
implementation; provide clarification to the team on an as need basis
• Sequence the requirements and schedule them into different releases;
communicate release schedules to stakeholders
• Set proper expectations with stakeholders regarding product delivery
• Review and accept the solution delivered by the scrum team. Drive
acceptance of the solution amongst the stakeholders
• Maintain the teams' work backlog; make sure that there is an adequate
supply of groomed stories
• Coordinate with project management the releases of specific feature sets
that lead to the delivery of the complete solution
• Champion continuous process improvement across the product
development lifecycle
Qualifications: The following are required unless specifically stated:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related
discipline
• 5+ years of systems/business analyst experience or software product
development experience
• Strong experience in gathering requirements from the business and / or
clients and facilitating requirements sessions
• Agile / Scrum experience as a Product Owner preferred
• SAP deployment and support expertise highly desired
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills and writing skills
• Product Management/Ownership experience for Enterprise Application(s)
and/or Customer Portal (s) preferred
• Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an
aptitude toward creative problem solving
• Track record of managing multiple complex tasks
Required Qualifications:
• One or more years in product or project development
• Strong analysis, organizing and planning skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and persuade others
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (oral,
written and presentation)
Desired Qualifications:
• Two or more years management experience in a marketing-related
position
• Two or more years of experience with SAP deployments and support
• One or more years’ experience in a management or leadership role
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word and
Outlook
