United Launch Alliance

August 2008 to present

As a SAP Technical Programmer, currently supporting a new implementation of SAP ECC 6.0. Created conversions for Material Master (MM), Equipment (PM), Inventory (IM/WM), and Quality Info Records (QM), including characteristics.  Created several custom RF screens to Put away materials, Pick Materials, and create Bin to Bin Transfers for Windows-based hand-held devices.  Created custom conversion program to Put away inventory.  Also supporting efforts of HR team.  Employed tools such as LSMW, and GuiXT.  Created several utilities to improve testing analysis, including a BDC error summarization report and an IDOC error summarization report. Created equipment interface to barcode system as well as a report to assist in shop floor planning. Created user exit to assign supply area during order creation.  Wrote program to move materials from inventory from storage location to another as well as confirm transfer order.

As a SAP Tech Lead, supported a new worldwide implementation of SAP ECC 5.0. Created conversions for MM, FI/CO, SD, QM, PP, CS, and HR using LSMW. Created many custom solutions using Object Oriented ABAP, including a custom Warranty Tracking system that tracks standard and extended warranty sales, Revenue Recognition and automatic synchronization of Equipment. Created many ALV reports for each of the above modules. Created several interfaces from both front-end and server side.  Implemented many BADIs (including Goods Movements, HR employee creation, and Notification save) and user exits (including Sales orders, custom Material master fields, and OH Cost Settlement).  Responsibilities include SAP technical development, including resource management, task estimations, assignment tracking, cutover planning and execution, and client landscape definition.  Supervised unit testing and problem resolution.  Provided guidance for newly trained programmer.

Created several interfaces, including one for Purchase Requisitions and Pricing Conditions.  Created many ALV reports and interfaces for each of the above modules. Implemented BADIs and user exits. Created several automated transactions to simplify complicated, repetitive tasks (such as Assembly Backflush, Issuing Wafers to Production, and Packing materials into Trays). Nalco Chemical Company

November 2002 to June 2005

As a SAP Lead Programmer / Analyst, supported an upgrade from 4.5b to 4.6c and worldwide rollout of SAP.  Analyzed custom interfaces and reports to verify they would still work in the new version and were using the correct SAP transactions.  Also assisted with answering functional questions and issues from a technical point of view.  Prior to upgrade, created conversion reports and programs to support a sales organization realignment.   In MM, created conversions to create and update materials from user input files, automatically create missing materials, and synchronize related materials. In HR, created programs to load employee information from user files, synchronize Organizational Management with Personnel Administration, automatically create actions, and created an interface to send OM and PA data to international sites. In FI/CO, created conversions to transfer assets and equipment from one company to another, as well as updating customer and cost centers from user input files.  In SD, created an update program to remove contact persons from Sold-To customers and supported an interface to calculate usage fees on equipment. In EH&S, created function module to provide Dangerous Goods text.  Also created a program to load Value Assignment Items using a BAPI, as well as programs to create and release EHS reports through an EHS report server.

As a SAP Lead Programmer for this global automotive supply company. Created technical solutions a new 4.6c SAP implementation as well as subsequent business unit rollouts.  Assisted business owners with the definition of functional specifications, wrote technical specifications, developed conversions, interfaces, reports, and user exits for HR, MM, PP, SD, QM, FI/CO, and PLM modules. Led reviews of technical specifications and code.  Performed quality assurance of final technical deliverables to assure the high standards of my company and the client were met.  Assisted during integration testing.  Provided technical solutions for gaps between business requirements and SAP functionality, as well as conversions of legacy data to SAP. Designed and created HR interface to extract Employee info, Time, and Wages to Corporate legacy system; this interface was subsequently rolled out to all operating companies within Kimball.

As a SAP Lead Programmer for this global producer of consumer electronic devices.  Developed and documented ABAP procedures for conversions and built interfaces to external systems.  Also provided day-to-day production support and troubleshooting efforts. The HR module was being rolled out to 12 different countries, in addition to the US. The assignment involved interaction with different languages and currencies.  Designed, developed, implemented, and provided on-going support of conversion routines and user-exits required for each country. Created reports to highlight missing and incorrect data.  Supported functional team members with technical analysis and recommendations. Directed work efforts of other onsite developer consultants.

As a Technical SAP Consultant, designed and developed technical solutions for the implementation of SAP for this oil industry consulting firm.  Specifically involved in Human Resource module. Created conversion routines as well as reports to highlight missing and incorrect data.  Also involved in UOP’s rollout were a wide suite of SAP modules including Supply and Distribution, Material Management, and Financial Information.

February 1997 to December 1997

As a Technical SAP Consultant, designed and developed technical solutions for the implementation of SAP for this high-tech firm involved in telecommunications hardware. This was a company-wide implementation of all of SAP's modules.  Worked with HR, MM, SD, and FI/CO modules and created many reports. Created numerous conversion routines for Material Management and Supply and Distribution.  Created procedure to determine appropriate level of approval during requisition process.  This procedure interfaced between the Human Resource and Material Management modules. Created online table maintenance procedure and online procedure for updating and tracking Returns Material Authorizations.

As a Programmer / Analyst, designed and developed technical solutions for the implementation of SAP for this major chemical company.  Member of the SAP Reporting / Data Warehouse Team. As a Programmer / Analyst, designed and developed technical solutions for the implementation of SAP for this major software development firm.  Led the Asset Conversion team through business analysis, technical analysis, coding, testing, implementation and validation. Wrote asset conversion business specifications and technical specifications. Coded asset conversion process in ABAP/4.  Wrote technical specifications and altered SAP check printing ABAP/4 code to create customized check printing procedure. Adobe implemented all of SAP’s modules.

As a SAP Lead Programmer / Analyst, contributed to 4 SAP installations in Oklahoma and California.  Head of the Fixed Asset conversion design and implementation team.  Created ABAP/4 utilities to facilitate automation of Chevron’s asset jobstream.  Member of Chevron’s Stress Testing team which created recommendations for hardware / software configurations.
