PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
2008 to present: VCI Group Inc.
I developed several Currency Trading Windows apps, and real-time price delivery systems, that communicate between brokers, servers, and traders. For live price charting and indicators I heavily modified open source Modulus code (C++) to fit customer specs. I also build the purchasing websites, and manage the trader/customer database [C#, C++, ASP, JS, MSSQL, FIX protocol, TCP/IP]
2006 to present: CounterClaim Inc., Eugene OR
Counterclaim is a Linux/Apache based website for court management, including cases, dockets, filings, court personnel, and calendars. I was brought in to document and improve the existing product and have been adding features and installing on new servers as required. [Linux, Apache, Java, MySQL, JSP]
Recent projects 2011-2013:
· for Sustainable Utility Networks Inc. I designed and developed a website to track solar installation projects and let users calculate savings estimates. [Linux/Apache, MySQL, AJAX, Javascript]
2002 - 2005: Took hiatus from software (ran another business), but still created and managed websites for local businesses such as MarshallInsurance.com, TheCapriceDaySpa.com, and EugeneMassage.net
1994 - 2001: Charles Schwab, San Francisco CA
As a consultant at Schwab I was put on numerous teams, sometimes working independently, mostly in the 'SIM Tech' division. The largest projects were:
1992 - 1994: Pacific Bell, San Ramon CA
In a small “R & D” group I created the first bar-scanning software for central office equipment inventory, with data upload and report generation capabilities. Other projects included a terminal emulator and custom installation software. [C, Assembler, Visual Basic]
1984 - 1992: Pacific Bell, San Ramon and San Francisco CA
Numerous projects involving equipment inventory systems, IMS databases, custom reporting, Unix scripting, software installations, training of operations staff, and monitoring mainframe processes. [C, C++, UNIX, VB, Cobol]
