2012 Authored How to Position Yourself As An Expert In Any Industry (This book shows the user a repeatable formula to become published and position themselves as an expert in their field). This is what I used for my entire freelance writing career.

 

2010 Authored Secrets of Profitable Freelance Writing. This book shows the user how to conduct online search, how to create professional screen captures and joint venture agreements.

2010Present: Technical Freelance Writer for Quin Street Publishing

 

 

2009 Authored How to Speed Up Your Computer: In 30 Minutes or Less. This book also came with extensive video tutorials created using Camtasia Studio.

 

2009 Authored Professional Photographic MS Word Templates. This package came with 50 photographic templates. All were based on photographs shot in the studio and on location. The manual also came with full video instructions, created using Camtasia Studio.

 

2006/2008: Authored The Corel PHOTO-PAINT X3/X4 Insider, a joint venture with The Corel Corporation. This book was published in two versions over a period of four years. It resulted in over 11,000 copies of the book sold. It also came with two hours of video tutorials, all which were produced using Camtasia Studio, PHOTO-PAINT, location and studio photography which I shot, 3DS Max, CorelDRAW and SnagIt.

 

2004-2009: Associate Editor for WebReference.com, initially part of Internet.com and later, part of JupiterMedia Corporation.

 

2000-2001: Sole columnist and interviewer for Streaming Media World. Wrote 111 articles in 16 months and interviewed 100 top executives from companies all over the world. All the interviews were transcribed, edited and placed into articles. Also wrote reviews, profiles and some product reviews.

1997-1998: Software Instructor for the Vancouver Training Institute teaching 3DS Max. There was no manual for the course. I wrote a software manual (Fundamentals of 3D Graphics), then taught the course based on that manual. Later, when the software was updated, I rewrote the manual to update it to the new software.

1991: Animated Film: The Boy Who Dreamed Christmas Delaney & Friends. I was one of three camera people working on a partially computerized animation stand. We worked with cell animation using top lighting, bottom lighting, pin registration, animation cells and other forms of artwork.

 

1991: Demonstration Film: Association For Canadian Film Craftspeople (ACFC). This was an animation created using 3D Studio and was output for video.

2005-Present: TravelswithNathan.com. Travel blog covering Mexico and the United States. This blog includes photos and videos from all of my journeys and useful stories about life in Mexico and on the road.

 

2006-2009: Creator and Moderator of The Victoria Spanish Group (conversational Spanish). I created this group on Meetup.com from zero using Advertising on Meetup.com and Craigslist. With weekly meetings the group has grown and is still flourishing now. It regularly gets 20-40 people showing up every week.
