Consulting – Employment History from most recent contract. 1. Ingram Micro Inc Santa Ana, CA ( 01/11/2010-current). Global ‘SCE’ team lead.
Ingram Micro is the largest distributor of electronic components on the globe. They have operations throughout North and Central America, Latin America, Asia Pacific as well as Europe and the United Kingdom.
I am the Global supply chain execution (SCE) team lead at Ingram Micro responsible for providing support and consulting expertise to the SCE global process owner. I am involved in all functional and technical design and reviews as well as configuration and support of SAP’s ECC and SCM supply chain processes.
I am heavily involved in all WMS applications (WMS design, development config master data, strategies, activities, printing, etc). I am also heavily involved in (LES/TMS) transportation management and freight costing design, development and configuration of SAP for applications in North America, EMEA (Europe) and APAC (Asia Pacific). This involved also includes extensive involvement in SAP configuration and design as well as building interfaces into 3rd party logistic providers such as UPS, DHL, FedEx, Star Track. In addition to my involvement with both WMS and TMS applications at Ingram Micro, I have introduced SAP’s XSI’s ( small parcel integration tool into the solution landscape. In addition I have configured and designed SAP ‘s Yard Management tool as a solution for dock door scheduling in high volume warehouses in North America and EMEA . I am responsible for the design of a sales order container optimizer which consolidated carton packing . this is an enhancement used to quote to customers freight costs considering means of transport and the most efficient means of packing the items on the order. The carton requirements are transferred into the delivery in the warehouse operations. I am responsible for the design and development of a consolidated IDOC ( which combines 12 different legacy messages) into 2 IDOCS to manage the inbound and outbound carton tracking processes from dock to customer.
I am also the assigned SCE “trouble shooter” for New Zealand operations to help them improve warehouse throughput by improving RF pick, putaway and pack processes.

|
3. Dr Pepper Snapple Group (02/25/2008- 10/16/2009) Team lead for Supply Chain. Involved in copacking order processing, intercompany sales order processing, (shipping, packing, warehouse management. Independent consultant. |
The DPSG Convergence project for the Bottling Group ( BG) was responsible for integrating multiple systems into a single ECC SAP 6.0 instance. We merged a SAP 4.6C ( Texas and CA); SAP 4.0 (Illinois and plains states); AS400 systems ( Missouri and Iowa) as well as a HP3000 system in Michigan and Ohio. As the LE_WMS team lead I was intimately involved in all system design and consolidation processes. I was the primary lead to consolidating the material master across all 4 platforms. The LE WMS solution was central to the Bottling Group solution and the success of the implementation a major factor in the growth of DPSG.
I have emails providing recommendations from Beth Guest senior VP on this project as well as John Stewart CIO for DPSG.
As the LE WMS Team Lead I was responsible for the LE_WMS team of subject matter experts, developers and support personnel for implementing ECC 6.0 solutions for the 12 manufacturing facilities and 102 distribution centers around the USA. My activities involved managing a team of business users, IT support and integrating with both local and off shore developers. I was also the primary configuration and process designer.
Major contributions. - DSD ( Direct store deliveries). I was the person responsible for the LE_WMS process design, blueprinting, configuration of the warehouse activities used to pick and process DSD ( Direct Store Deliveries) deliveries from a distribution center or manufacturing plant. I was instrumental in introducing business process which enabled a radically more efficient and real time interface for the picking and control of inventory being placed onto the DSD vehicles. . The solution I was responsible for introducing has been instrumental in major efficiencies and productivity in inventory management. The introduction of these changes enabled the company to achieve major cost savings and improved visibility of material movements between a plant, DC, truck and customer. I was the principle source for configuring and introducing the material movement IDOC MGMBCR which was used to controlled the movement of inventory pick data between Appacheta ( the DSD hand held solution) and SAP. I was responsible for the design, and configuration of the MGMBCR IDOC solution.
- CO packing sales order processing and interfaces. I was responsible for the design, configuration and support of the BG ( co packing solutions) which involved inter company BG to MOTTS ( Snapple and Welsh’s Grape Juice ) as well as co pack processing of orders for Hansen’s ( Monster Energy Drink) Chelada ( Budweiser ) and Stewarts orders, deliveries and invoices. I designed and \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ the configuration and design of the orders, pricing procedures, copy controls for delivery pick and warehouse controls as well as the relevant billing documents. As the LE_WMS lead I was asked to provide the configuration and support of all co packing processes from order creation, pick and goods issue as well as billing processes. The control of data between MSSI ( Motts) and BG using a data interchange solution (JCAPS) was part of the process I was responsible for,
- Production receipt into Finished Goods warehouse improvements. Prior to the interventions I made the ‘old’ 4.6C manufacturing locations used an outdated RF transaction (BDC) to process pallet goods receipt from a production line into the finished goods warehouse. The 4.6C back flush transaction used an error prone BDC ( batch data communication) process which was slow and resulted in numerous lost receipts between the production line and the finished goods warehouse recording locking issues . I was responsible for redesigning the production receipt processes and introduced a more efficient MFBF function module and added a system log to capture non standard error conditions such as missing cost estimates, missing bills of materials, and production versions. As a result of the process improvements I fought to introduce the inventory and production controllers are now able to identify system errors caused by RF scan errors or data errors and rectify the receipt process. In addition the RF transaction used by fork lift drivers is quicker, more efficient and easier to use.
- Managed implementation of different warehouse management solutions. Managed the Implementation and solution design of different WMS solutions to fit the business requirements. Included all of the following formats. IM managed locations; Lean WMS locations at the manufacturing plants – with minimal bin storage definitions but RF enabled; fully decentralized WMS location with storage unit management and fully automated with RF; fully integrated WMS solution with Handling Unit management from recording production receipts for finished goods with HU’s, through to fully integrated warehouse managed location as well as integrated shipping the HU.
- Live Loads. From production line receipts direct onto truck and transfer to cross company plant. I was personally responsible for the design and configuration of the production back flush to truck load process. This was used to move product directly from the production line to another BG plant or DC’s (distribution center). The process involved a fork lift driver using a RF device to scan pallet coming off the production line and placing the pallet directly onto a waiting truck. The process I designed enabled the RF scan to automatically record the production back flush ( goods issue of the raw materials and goods receipt of the finished items into a warehouse) then automatically creating a stock transfer order (STO), then automatically create the replenishment delivery, auto create a transfer order and confirm it in WMS. Once the truck had a full load, process the goods issue and print the bill of lading for the authorization to move the full truck load.
- Material Master and Inventory conversions. I was the primary resource for supporting material master data convergence across multiple SAP systems and legacy systems. I provided critical inputs into the design and control of the material master data elements as well as the inventory conversions for 120 plants and 12 manufacturing plants covering all materials in a warehouse or production facility.
As the LE_WMS Team Lead I was responsible for all DPSG BG Convergence LE & WMS project processes. This involved the design, configuration and RICEF development for anything moving in or out of 108 DC’s and 12 manufacturing plants as well as all the internal processes in these 120 locations.
