OBJECTIVE: A Function/Technical consulting position where I can effectively apply my SAP R/3 experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

02/03-Present: Eastman Kodak / Kodak Polychrome Graphics, Norwalk, CT SAP Consultant
Served as the Development Team Lead during the initial implementation. Managed a development team that consisted of both employees and consultants. After the implementation, I was retained as an SD resource to support on-going issues, develop additional processes, and provide knowledge transfer to both the SD and Development Teams. Currently, I am an SD Team Lead for the global implementation project.
OTC Team Lead on an ECC 6.0/Uni-code upgrade project. Also assisted in the development area (SPDD, SPAU and enabling Uni-code).
Designed and developed and ATP enhancement that extends the functionality of the standard system.
Assigned to the Japan implementation as both the Development Team Lead and SD Functional Consultant. The Japan implementation was a one year project that went live on 4/1/2006
Designed and developed a custom sales compensation system in BW. This system was designed to be completely configurable using custom configuration tables.
Configured the complete �Order to Cash� process for contract processing. This included new order types, pricing, text determination, output determination, partner determination, etc.
Designed and created various Smart Forms.
Performed configuration in SD/MM required to setup new plants.
Designed and implemented a custom process to reserve inventory for specific orders scheduled to ship once all items are available. The process is a hybrid of the consignment process that required new order types, item categories, IDOC processing and user exits.
Debugged and fixed the rebate process which did not work after go-live.
Resolved post go-live issues related to ATP, Back Order Rescheduling and Delivery Due List processing.
Resolved various configuration and ABAP related issues since go-live.
Led a Team of eight developers during a full implementation of R/3. Development for the project included conversions, interfaces, EDI, RF, user exits/enhancements, reports, forms, pricing formulas, custom programs, etc.
Designed a custom enhancement to handle Mexican importation requirements (Numero de Pedimento).
Designed and implemented a custom sales order �Plant Determination� module to replace the standard SAP method of determining plants during sales order processing. The solution consisted of a configurable set of hierarchical tables processed in the same manner as the condition technique.
Assisted the SD Team with process design, configuration and problem resolution.
Designed a custom enhancement that enabled RF scanners to read variable length, multi formatted batch numbers.

Develop and market add-on products for R/3 to extend the functionality of the standard system. These products can be seen at www.SAPtechsolutions.com.
Designed and developed the Order to Cash Manager which is an online report to manage sales orders.
Designed and developed a sales order plant determination enhancement.
Designed and developed the Output Monitor which is an online report to monitor message output in all functional areas.
Designed and developed an ALE/EDI Partner Statistics Report.
Writing a series of white papers that provide technical solutions in various areas of R/3. These papers are available online.

 

01/04-Present: Third Party Software Vendor, Princeton, NJ SAP Consultant
Developed an enhancement package to enable payment card data encryption and masking throughout the R/3 system.
Developed an RFC Interface to a data encryption server that automatically encrypts and decrypts payment card numbers at the appropriate times when processed in R/3.
Developed a series of programs to encrypt and decrypt current master and transaction data residing in R/3.
Developed payment card masking functionality.
Developed various reports related to payment card processing.

 

12/02-01/03: International Flavors and Fragrances Inc., Union Beach, NJ SAP Consultant
Developed, installed and tested Quarterly and Annual NAFTA qualification program.
Worked closely with ITS Compliance personnel to ensure regulatory compliance of the IFF NAFTA program.
Developed a new program for IFF�s 4.6C system to determine the eligibility of a product for NAFTA whether the product is made or purchased.
Developed programs and SAPScript forms to issue annual NAFTA Certificates of Origin and to issue rescission letters as necessary in both English and Spanish.

 

04/02-06/02: PG&E National Energy Group, Bethesda, MD SAP SD Consultant
Contracted to configure a proto-type �Order to Cash� process to demonstrate how the SD module could handle the company�s billing requirements. Currently, they are only using parts of FI and MM.
Configured the SD module to accept and invoice orders based on commodity trades.
Built a custom invoice print program and form.
Built a custom XML/BAPI interface to connect an external Vendor Management System to SAP/MM.

 

03/96-12/02: FMC Corporation, Philadelphia, PA SAP SD Consultant
Contracted to assist in the implementation of the SAP R/3 Sales and Distribution Module. Worked with the SD Team as an �Order to Cash� configuration and technical analyst.
Involved in the development of an e-commerce system that includes order processing and document status. The Order Center enables customers to place and change their own sales orders, search for and display the status of any related sales documents, print output associated with orders, deliveries and invoices. The Order Center was designed to be configurable so that it could easily be installed across multiple divisions.
Implemented an RFC Interface between SAP and the Road Runner Rail Car Management System. The Road Runner System is Internet based and the Web Methods B2B Server software is used to link SAP and Road Runner over the Internet using XML.
Implemented a set of IDOC interfaces between SAP and a warehouse management bar coding system. These interfaces consisted of both standard and custom IDOCs.
Designed and implemented an RFC interface which enabled SAP to communicate with a Freight Rating System. This is a real-time interface which executes during invoice and order pricing.
Analysis, configuration and modification of SD shipping, packing and transportation related functionality to accommodate the company’s extensive transportation requirements.
Bill of Lading design and programming using SAP Script.
Designed and implemented custom route definition and route determination functionality which replaced the standard SAP routing.
Designed and implemented RFC interfaces which enabled SAP to communicate with a mainframe based rail car tracking system.
Designed and implemented modifications related to determining carrier partners during order processing.
Responsible for pricing configuration related to freight rating.
Assisted in the general configuration of the Sales and Distribution Module.
Developed program specifications and assisted the programming staff in the development of interfaces from R/3 to legacy systems.
Provided on-site support and training at plants during the ‘Go-live’ period.
Provided general SD support during the post-implementation period.
Designed and developed various reports.

 

1/1996-Present: Third Party Software Vendor, Parsippany, NJ SAP R/3 Consultant
Contracted to develop a series of interfaces between the SAP R/3 Accounts Receivable Module and a third party Credit Management System. The system provides credit and collection functionality which does not exist in R/3. Several interfaces were developed and are SAP/BAPI certified. The interfaces include batch extract programs and RFC’s. The interfaces have been installed and are live at over forty companies. This project includes the following responsibilities:
Responsible for mapping data from SAP to the system.
Responsible for the design and development of RFC’s which enable SAP to communicate with the system
Responsible for the design and development of batch interface programs.

 

5/1995-3/1996: Philip Morris USA, Richmond, VA SAP R/3 Consultant (Thru KPMG)
Contracted to assist in the implementation of the SAP R/3 Sales and Distribution Module. Assigned to the Customer Management Team which was responsible for Order Entry, Telemarketing and Customer Problem Management. This team developed a comprehensive call center environment consisting of several systems which integrate voice and phone technologies with the R/3 System. This role included the following:
Involved in the development of business requirements and re-engineering of business processes pertaining to order entry and commitment.
Assisted in the general configuration of the Sales and Distribution Module.
Researched business requirements leading to system configuration or new development.
Responsible for mapping data from the current mainframe system into SAP.
Designed and implemented several major enhancements to the SAP Sales Order Entry Program. This included the design of a new item entry screen to enable faster line item entry, and functionality not included in the standard R/3 System. Designed and implemented RFC’s which enable SAP to communicate with an Interactive Voice Response System (IVR). The system allows customers to communicate with the SAP System without talking to a human. The IVR functionality includes customer master file maintenance and various inquiry functions.
Designed and implemented RFC’s and transactions which interface SAP to an Automatic Call Distribution System (ACD). The system automatically identifies the customer associated with an incoming call and routes the call to the appropriate destination. The ACD system acts as a menu system for on-line access to the SAP System.
Developed program specifications and assisted the programming staff in the development of interfaces from R/3 to legacy systems.

 

9/1988-5/1995: Suburban Propane, Whippany, NJ Senior Business Systems Analyst
Project leader responsible for implementation of SAP R/3 Sales and Distribution and Accounts Receivable Modules. This role involved the following:
Active participant in pre-sales meetings to determine the ability of R/3 to meet company requirements.
Project leader in the development of business requirements and the re-engineering of business processes.
Project leader in the prototyping phase and completed the configuration of the system with the user department project manager. Worked closely with representatives from the MM and FI teams on issues related to integration between functional areas. Tested the configuration of the system.
Responsible for mapping data from the current mainframe system into SAP.
Designed batch interfaces from the mainframe.
Designed and implemented modifications to the standard SAP System. Modifications include the addition of new fields and screens to the Sales Order Entry Program and the addition of new tables to the Customer Master Data Base. This development also includes the redesign and rewrite of several legacy systems which will be done in ABAP/4 using the SAP Data Dictionary. These systems will include both batch and on-line programs.
Responsible for all ABAP/4 software development in the above areas which includes the supervision of four to six ABAP/4 and two mainframe professionals ranging in titles from Programmer to Senior Programmer Analyst.
Responsible for conducting systems design and program code reviews which were required on all projects. The project was started in February 1994.

Responsibilities at Suburban Propane prior to SAP include:
Responsible for legacy IMS/DB2 Accounts Receivable, Billing and Sales Analysis Systems which run on an IBM 3090. Designed and implemented many enhancements and sub-systems over the last six years.
Designed and implemented an Order Entry/Employee Tracking System on Telxon hand held computers. This system is used by 3000 employees in 400 offices throughout the United States. It is estimated that this system generated an $8 million annual cost savings for the company.
Installed program review procedures and programming standards for all applications developers. Responsible for the review of all program code before production installation. Designed and implemented a programming test which is given to all job applicants.
Supervise several applications developers at various levels.
Worked on the conversion of systems from a Burroughs environment to a VAX/VMS environment and later to an IBM OS/MVS IMS/DB2 environment.
Received company excellence awards three times over a six year period.

3/1983-9/1988: Worked in programming positions at various companies.
