Through Master Concept’s engagements and my own employment, I have been involved in a wide variety of logistics industry information technology (IT) projects over the past nine years.
Consultant for Belloto & Associates since 1991 Programmer / Analyst on depreciation, amortization, payroll, and billing programs. Technologies: Pascal; R:Base; Powerbuilder; FoxPro. Master Concepts has maintained the FedEx Ground Purchasing / Warehousing database since 1992. Technologies: R:Base, SQL Server. Master Concepts was a contract programmer / analyst to Robert’s Express during 1991-1993. Sales Reporting Database utilizing R:Base. Master Concepts was a contract programmer / analyst to Caliber Logistics during 1993-1994. Full time employee of Caliber Logistics during 1994-1995. Programmer / Analyst on several logistic applications. Technologies: R:Base; Sybase; Uniface. Full time employee of TMW Systems, a transportation software developer in Beachwood, OH, during 1995-1997. Technologies: PowerBuilder; Visual Basic; SQL Server; Sybase. Master Concepts was engaged at Textron Fastening Systems / Flexalloy 1997-1999 and 2001 -present: Converted data collection sites to utilize Sympbol Palm Pilots with integrated scanners. Rolled out 802.11b technology and security in for use in 5 warehouses. Supporting a legacy warehouse management system. Analyst supporting rollout of MFG/Pro from QAD (ERP system). Technogies: QuickBasic; Visual Basic; Progress Full time employee at Flexalloy as Network Systems Manager. Managed team responsible for database performance (Progress), Unix platform (IBM RS6000 AIX and HP-UX L1000 and L2000), and LAN / WAN (Novell and Windows NT servers, Cisco switches and Routers).
