Sasaki Associates, a leader in architecture, landscape architecture, and
multidisciplinary planning and design – Developed a book proposal and now
co-authoring a book on campus planning. Providing overall project management;
writing; editing; facilitating partner meetings on book-related matters. Book
proposal has been accepted by a major publisher; currently negotiating terms of
contract.

For a
software package vendor – For its first major package implementation outside
its traditional market, developed an approach to scope management and change
management; reviewed and helped revise overall project plan to reflect a phased
approach.
1999-2000
NetGenesis Corp.
NetGenesis provides software
and services to analyze Web site traffic and e-customer behavior.

As
Engagement Proposal Practice Leader, coordinated the input of Account Managers,
Systems Engineers, Engagement Managers, and worked directly with clients to
create proposals for consulting engagements that were anticipated to be large,
complex, or strategic. Initiated methodologies, templates, and standards for
proposals and statements of work, and created methods and models for estimating
consulting engagements.

As
Director of Implementation Services, built a new organization of implementation
consultants who specialize in installing, configuring, and customizing
NetGenesis’ software for clients. Created the first set of standards for
specification, coding, documentation, and delivery of Services products.

Project
manager for the development of an entirely new suite of training courses in
conjunction with NetGenesis' new OLAP-based product. The project was completed
on schedule and budget.

manager for several key client engagements.
1996-1999
Cambridge Technology Partners, Inc.
CTP was a preeminent
technology and business consulting company delivering custom and package-based
Internet and client-server computer systems on a fixed-price, fixed-time
methodology.

Managed
all aspects of software implementation program, from presales and initial
scheduling and planning of delivery, through facilitation of client meetings,
creation of presentations and reports, and design, development, testing,
documentation, and delivery of custom and packaged software.
·
Typical
projects included:
Program Manager, Customer Information Enterprise-wide system implementation for a utility company. Based on SCT’s Banner CRM package, the project provided software to support all customer interfaces.

Coordinated
efforts of a team of over 50 people, including Cambridge, client, and vendor
staff. Activities included package customization, development of interfaces to
11 systems, data cleansing and data migration, QA, model office, development of
new organizational procedures, realigning IT duties and responsibilities, and
training across multiple areas of the company.

Met Y2K
deadline with a smooth implementation in record time for a major Banner
installation.
Project
Manager, Business Vision and Scoping Workshop for an entire set of back-office
systems for a wholesale energy provider preparing for deregulation.
Project
Manager, Scope, Requirements Definition, and Package Selection for a Billing
System for a major commercial insurance company.
Project
Manager, Integrated Systems/ Business Reengineering Planning Workshop for a
natural-gas producer and marketer engaged in simultaneous implementation of
several major systems (including SAP) along with business restructuring.
1991-1996
Sabre Decision Technologies (American Airlines)
SDT provided sophisticated
computer models, systems, and technology consulting for the transportation and
travel industries.

Brought
into a troubled project to turn it around. Worked with client to develop a
complete implementation schedule, standards for delivery, and product
acceptance criteria. Delivered software to agreed schedule and standards.
Obtained signoff. Client became a reference site.

Created
new Cargo Revenue Accounting business area and developed it into a
multi-million dollar revenue source with clients worldwide. Performed product
scoping, definition, and planning; spearheaded technical architecture and
database design; delivered customized software; worked with clients through
acceptance testing and signoff. Responsible for new business development as
well as project implementation. Involved in American Airlines’ SAP
implementation.

On
special assignment to the company's president, developed a set of corporate
guidelines for software project management, procedures, and tools. Provided
in-house consulting in areas of quality assurance, including configuration
management, testing, and software tools.
