Purchase Requisition System
Created enterprise-wide purchase requisition systems at Hughes Network Systems, MCI, and The Washington Post, Inc. Utilized Lotus Notes and workflow to create, route, and approve requisitions and check approver spending authority to meet auditor requirements. Automated data entry for back-end purchasing systems to reduce errors. Improved time required to order equipment and greatly reduced loss of requests.
 
Domino-Based Intranet
Developed workflow for document submission and approval prior to intranet content display. Created a web-based graphic utility allowing users to upload any size graphic image re-sized for intranet. Created web-based utility allowing employees to set/reset intranet passwords.
 
System Access Requests
Implemented a Lotus Notes-based system to automate requests, approvals, and monitor system administrators creating new accounts. Reduced the time required to grant access to systems, as well as the number of complaints.
 
Timecard Entry System
Replaced a paper-based timecard system with a Lotus Notes application. The system is used weekly by 2500 employees. Applied business rules for checking accuracy of timecards before approval. Integrated the system with PeopleSoft Time and Labor.
 
Consultant Tracking System
Created a Lotus Notes-based system to track on-site consultants and alert managers to their expiring terms. The system tracks equipment provided to consultants and uses a wizard interface to collect information. System will notify security when a consultant needs a new badge or access card.

Interfaced the storefront database with external Lotus Notes databases used to monitor the installation and setup of computer systems. Developed one of the first ViP applications delivered to a client in the Washington DC area. Designed and implemented a Lotus Notes-based call tracking and escalation system for FCP. The system escalated calls based on severity through nine levels. At each level, an e-mail, page, or fax could be sent utilizing the Notes Pager Gateway and Lotus Fax Gateway software. Created reports for this system using ViP. Created a ViP front-end to make viewing data from a lead-tracking application visually appealing and user-friendly. Designed a Lotus ViP application to manage and project colleague schedules. Installed Notes servers using three different protocols: Banyan, TCP/IP and NetWare. Trained personnel on use and administration of the system. Diagnosed and stabilized client's system to prevent Notes Server crashes. Modified existing Help Desk Notes database and made enhancements to increase efficiency. Created and implemented systems engineering time report system and employee record database to monitor employee information. Designed and presented application specific training courses for end-users and administrators.
