Skills and Experience - Required

• B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science from reputable program with top performance or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to conceptualize and develop standards-compliant, cross-browser web applications utilizing HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, XML, XSLT, JSON, object-oriented design, and requirements analysis.
• Experience throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (agile, preferred) with an understanding of Product Development
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Experience working in an Agile environment with short sprints
• An expert in that special balance of wanting to do it the "right way" with the need to "get it done"
• Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
• Demonstrated ability to integrate into a high-performing software engineering team.
• Need to be organized, detail oriented and results driven with empathy and passion for users who want great user experiences
• Willingness and ability to use variety of tools in very heterogeneous environment to achieve science and business goals.

Skills and Experience - Preferred

• Experience with branding & customizing of SharePoint 2010 or 2007 (MOSS 2007) preferred.
• Experience with .Net, PHP, and Information Architecture preferred, but not required
• Enterprise intranet/web search experience (FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint) preferred, but not required.
• 4+ years designing, coding, testing, and supporting enterprise-class end-user applications including web apps.
• Experience with scientific or drug discovery application development
• Interest in intersection between the life sciences and computer science.
• Deep and practical understanding of software development and project management methodologies
